Walker added 23,000 jobs, took at defecit of 3.3 billion and turned it into a 150 million dollar surplus. Stopped the union thugs from making their members, or should I say FORCE, into buying their healthcare plan at 30% higher than blue cross. Also members can now opted out of the union if they wish. NO ONE SHOULD EVEN BE FORCED, OR TOLD THEY HAVE TO JOIN A UNION. THAT IS A DICTATORSHIP. As for money, the union poured 43 million dollar's of union members dues into the election. As for filthy rich who paid no taxes, Bank of America and GE Corp, one of Obama's biggest donators paid NO TAXES, even though each company netted 14 billion dollars last year!!!!

We do not need unions anymore. This is not the 1930's. The premise behind a union is great!!!! The problem is that they are set up to make the leaders rich men!!! They protect the shitty workers and make the the leaders rich. Because of this, the price of a union tradesman is ridiculous. I don't mind paying 40-50$ an hour for a skilled tradesman, but 80-120$ an hour is crazy!!! That's why "scabs" are the only ones working!!! These people running unions are just a bunch of political morons who do not want to work for a living! They are all on the take, and there kids or nephews are all waiting in line for that cushy job! Wake up and open your eyes. You probably are a hard working guy who has been fed a bunch of bullshit by your boss or union rep!!!! Get a clue and stop giving your $ to a union that most llikely has a bunch of do nothing guys on top making 5 times what your making!

Hey, the house of cards collapsed. Upcoming is your social security debacle. But before that, the European (ERUO) currency is in peril and if Germany says it's not gonna fix everyone else - watch out. Oh, and don't forget that the Iranians will learn from those cyber attacks and turn that knowledge against other countries and then none of us will be able to spout off on TOPIX. Quit being so short sighted and narrow minded.

I love being Union great pay great benefits what more could you ask for , making 12.00 an hour living in apartment with 5 other family's yeah that's the American Dream . Seems to me Unions are stronger than ever construction going on everywhere all over Chicago and suburbs lots of guys working . Listen I have no problem if you are anti Union that's your opinion I am proud to be a Union worker and everything I have putting in a hard 40 hours a week if you want to make 12.00 an hour and work 120 hours with no benefits snd unskilled foreigners that's your prerogative go for it !

The right to collectively bargain is recognized through international human rights conventions. Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights identifies the ability to organize trade unions as a fundamental

human right.[3] Item 2(a) of the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work defines the "freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining" as an essential right

of workers.[4]

In June 2007 the Supreme Court of Canada extensively reviewed the rationale for regarding collective bargaining as a human right. In the case of Facilities Subsector Bargaining Association v. British Columbia, the Court made the following observations:

The right to bargain collectively with an employer enhances the human dignity, liberty and autonomy of workers by giving them the opportunity to influence the establishment of workplace rules and thereby gain some control over a major aspect of their lives, namely their work... Collective bargaining is not simply an instrument for pursuing external ends…rather [it] is intrinsically valuable as an experience in self-government... Collective bargaining permits workers to achieve a form of workplace democracy and to ensure the rule of law in the workplace. Workers gain a voice to influence the establishment of rules that control a

major aspect of their lives.

Unions that are in the private sector, I have no problem with. Public unions, is a whole different ball of wax. Why? Because they pay No SS, they pay only about 5% into their pension and the same for their Healthcare. The pay is inflated and it's hard to get rid of bad employees. And the biggest part is, we get stuck with their bill, plus we have to pay our own. The Chicago school teachers work only 5 1/2 hours a day and now bitch because they have to work another hour and a half. Well, if they are so into getting children a good education, wouldn't more time in the classroom help? Not to them. They want good pay, benefits, short hours and pretty much can't get fired. They could care less about the kids. And now they want a 30% pat increase? That is just BS!!!!!
