I have heard from several people that he is way over priced and i dont think he has a state or local business license?? i also heard he works for another company as well?? Does he pay his taxes??? Must be nice huh?? I also wonder if he got a permit to distibute the fliers as well?? Check with your local town and check to see if he is registered to work in the town??

I don't know Zark, and I am not endorsing or dismissing him.

My comment is that there are some talented guys that may start a company out of their garage while working for someone else. What is wrong with that? Not many can quit their job and open a store front with trucks, tools, insurance, phones, etc. and expect to still make the home mortgage next month.

These same people might be the most talented at their "daytime job" and need side work to make ends meet these days.

In the end, don't be quick to judge the start-up guy. Check references with an open mind. They should have insurance for their trade at a minimum and it depends if the trade is licensed in Illinois.

Otherside....Have you looked at your tax bill if You live in Will county? This is a reason why are taxes are so high becuse business's like this. Is it fair that other employers pay there taxes and have to buy business licenses to start ther business and have to pay workmans comp and have to pay to be bonded and insured? Thats fair? Well when your taxes go up and you have to pay will see how you feel then... Or better yet let them come to your house and an accident happpens and they sue you... But i guess your right screw all the other guys how have to do it the honest and legal.... Oh and i hope they buy all there equipment and not steal it from thier "day time job" because that would be fair to the guy doing the right thing.Huh???

Hey nut job...maybe the guy was working for a large company and got laid off and is trying to use the only skill he has to support his family. It's a frickin economic disaster out there in case you didn't notice.

Where do you see it's his side job? I see a whole bunch of unsubstantiated gossip. What story? If there is a verifiable story that this is his side job, I will apologize on this site. Post the link to this supposed story because all I see is a post by you using words like "I heard" and "I wonder"; all of which is speculation as you "don't KNOW' or "have READ". So why don't you go ahead and educate all of us here and post where your facts are coming from.

So what you're trying to sell us here is your view as facts. Interesting. So by your mentality, I could claim that you, as Manhattan Mougal is a mother of 3 having an affair with your boss and back it up by saying "I live in the area, So i know." How would you like if that was posted publicly without any evidence to support it. I mean are you for real. As I suspected you have absolutely no facts to back up your public smearing of a guy trying to make some money. I don't know anything about you so I won't purport to "know", but I can tell you this, I do know that times are tough and if a man wants to use his trade to make extra money on the side, for whatever reason, good for him. Oh, and you're trying to tell me that you have never had someone do a side job for you, ever. Come on, you're way off track here.

You dont know what your talking about...He has a full time job read my post....And again its fair to the legit guy who has to pay taxes and workmans comp and has to be bonded and insured? I have nothing against doing side jobs but dont dont name it and run it as a "Business" if you do then be licensed and do it the CORRECT way, and his full time job is HVAC? What a coinsdence? You think he might be using his day time jobs supplies and not telling anyone... I wonder if thats fair to his daytime boss and his other employees that are being laid off because of no work? Dude stop posting because you dont know or have any clue to what you are talikg about....Stop defending the guy he is not a legit business and is not registered with the state, county and local town.

THAT'S WHY ITS CALLED A SIDE JOB. I mean holy $#@& are you an idiot. So what if he isn't bonded. Then don't use the guy. You have taken a direct smear campaign of a total stranger with absolutely no facts, just your opinion. If the guy wants to do side work, and people CHOOSE to hire him, so what. And just because he doesn't carry a license by the county to show that he is qualified means nothing. Ask for references, do your research and then make an EDUCATED decision. If you think that having a license means that you are guaranteed quality work then you are even cookier than you come across now. If YOU don't want to use the guy then YOU don't have to, but all you did is spin your BS here and target a complete stranger because you have an opinion. Why don't you go collect some facts and stop spinning crap for the sake of spinning crap.

I agree with the mougal,if you are distributing flyers and promoting a buisness than its not a "side job" it is a buisness. I side job is word of mouth through Friends and Family , I work in sales and if I were to promote a company that I owned in the same field after hours, I would probibly be out of a day time job as soon as my daytime company found out. I agree also you should pay taxes and open shop in town there a lot of commercial spots for rent in town to promote this buisness and this helps the economy, is there a reason they do not pay buisness taxes? Oh I see screw Uncle Sam and keep it in your pocket once again step up to the plate and do the right thing "SCAB" I am sure the boys at 597 would love to read this post!!!!

This company "Zark Heating & Cooling" is legit he was at my house and repaired my furnace when another company was out and said it needed to be replaced. I am a cautious person he had all the proper liscense and insurance paperwork and was very open about this. He is a real stand up guy trying to get a business going from the ground up. As for him working for another company what is the problem with that if he is? In this economy it sounds like he's ahead of the game so Manhattan Mogal you should get your stories straight because I believe this may be slander.

Zark Heating & Cooling is getting FREE publicity, I think that is awesome! All the positives out weighs the negatives and I DO KNOW ~ ZARK's positives! He has done work on my furnance and AC where another company didn't have a clue! And he is very honest and straight forward and did not try to sell me something I did not need. I don't know where you're coming from, as far as ZARK being over priced, because he can & will beat any advertised price. I will definitely call this company again and certainly will pass on his business info to everyone I know. As for passing out those door fliers, you don't need a special license for that - I KNOW as a FACT. Is he doing anything wrong? Not at all. It seems to be a home business (like so many others)- so why pay on office space in the middle of Manhattan, when I'm sure he's trying to MAKE money? He seems smarter than that!(It seems only the half ass dumb ones on this site are jealous.) Perhaps those with the negative responses should find something more productive to do with their time...because we all know...he's out MAKING MONEY and NOT WASTING TIME! One more thing, click on Manhattan Mougal to see just how unhappy he is with all of Manhattan, perhaps he should just move out.

Sounds like logical pragmatic people have finally joined the discussion. Glad to see I'm not the only one fighting to stand up for the little guy. Manhattan Mogul is simply uninformed and certainly not interested in the facts. The truth shall set you free. Go Zark!!!!

Taxes, bonding, licenses. You don't know shit. If a worker comes to your house for a repair do you request his most recent Tax Return. That's like asking for a receipt after buying an apple at a farmers Market, make sure the little farmer is paying his taxes. You have no idea about this guy. If you say you live in the same neighbor hood as this guy, why don't you go talk to him? Ask him about his taxes and such. Not that it's any of your business. And I'm sure none of the boys at 597 ever use company equipment for side jobs. This guy has his own van. How many side jobbers have a separate van that they use? And again, none of us, me included, have the facts. You just think you know, bottom line is that you don't know shit. These are all assumptions. Based on a flyer? Wow, I hope those little girls don't come by your house with their baby sitting flyers. Those little bitches are killing our economy!!! Don't try to slam someone you claim to know and hide behind "Manhattan Mogul" if you have a problem with this guy, knock on his door some day and talk to him. No better yet, try to kill the small business all by yourself. That's what this country needs, more good people looking out for the big guys. This is clearly a smear campaign, nothing more. This is nothing more than sour grapes!

Where is it written that a person can not have two jobs? Why would it be an issue if he works for another company. Bid deal. I once worked downtown at my regular job, then on weekends I tended bar to make some extra money. I didn't pay workman's comp, nor did I rent some store to run my bar tending job. What's the matter with running a business out of your garage, even if you have another business. This whole thing pisses me off. And guess what, I do know this guy,And I do know that he pays taxes, and that he is fully legit. So, now tell me what you KNOW!! You are an asswipe with to much time on your hands. If you have a problem with Zark, address him. And I'm calling Bullshit that you say that you have heard many people talk about how overpriced he is. You are full of it. This is not the problem of your tax bill either. So, take you B.S. post and bitch to your husband or wife. I'm sure they want to hear more about what you claim to know. Do try to hurt a guy who is trying to better his life on the up and up. Ya dope! I have and will continue to recommend Zark to friends and family. He is great at what he does, and I trust him and his work.
Keep it up Zark.
