Why he could not contribute anything to the board unless borgo said so. Does not have a mind of his own. Raise's were alway's ok and never fought when taxe's were on the line. his theory is give it to them then they will like me better. Be your own person, don't be like Noughton or lucus ,use your own thoughts, make your own mind up. Remember people who vote for ''YOU'' to do the job for the people of our town, not what borgo and gibson want. ''EVERYBODY''needs to do the wright thing this election,We have had enough of Borgo and his clear vision.

In 2009 only 1,751 citizens of Manhattan voted. Doyle got 43.75% of the vote and Borgo
52.71%. The population is over 7,000. Borgo did not win by a landslide. Hard to believe all the people that complain don't even bother to vote. That is part of the problem. If Doyle wants a chance at winning, he needs to get the word out on how he is going to change things for the better.

Adrieansen claims he "is a small business owner, the president of Fairview Condo Association and is involved with local business as a member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce board." What type of business does he own? He is not listed on the website on the chamber of commerce as a board member or even a member for that matter. Where are Fairview condos? I missed his meet and greet or I would have asked him myself. Can anyone answer?

If you want to see change, do your homework and get out and vote or suck up another four years of high taxes and inflated salaries for nothing in return.

I see you are flexing your stripes. What you ptopound is true and accurate for the most part but you fail to discern the issues on a rather significant fact. The town lacks adequate talent to run itself both ethically and professionally. That why across the board there are people involved in this local government like Julie K., Borgo, Doyle, Elder, the Pet, Biscan, Lucas, Doyle's brother who is elected out of sympathy for his circumstances, and so on. Beautiful losers in an ugly town.

If Biscan gets in and Borgo wins, nothing will change.I'll bet my last dollar on that.Wait they took that already. Make sure you vote, it's your only slim chance. reduce big salaries. They don't like it ,go somewhere else and work. Vote April 9th

Okay, we shall see. You know Borgo sux and so duz his band of rag-tag teammates. But they are just a smidge better than Doyle's gypsy troop. So there you have it, it's Borgo by the size of his weenie once again. Run boys run.

I would like to see a debate. That way they would all have to answer to what there plans are.

Yes a debate would be good. But they need to keep that in check. No mud slinging, get right to the point of why they want to be Mayor or should be Mayor. Take of the rose colored glasses for an hour. Not what i did but what i will do for the people. Remeber this is foe the people.
Debate- it's not a hour of look at me.

I agree - have a debate. But Doyle is gonna start out by saying that all he has heard is "you lost to Borgo - twice". Borgo will start out by pulling out a letter or two from some make believe person or entity that lauds his so-called accomplishments. And everyone else running for mayor will open with a bio about themselves. There goes the first 20 minutes. Only 40 minutes left to get a feel for the candidates.

Last time the had one the man from Kriby's Bakery was in charge along with the lady from the newspaper. They were asked questions that voters wanted answers too. I think that was Borgo's first election.

Also, it is spelled B I S C A N, not Biscain. Although there is a funny reference to the Bible if you think about it. Bican is Cain and Borgo is Able.

Borgo is losing his grip but I'm not so sure Doyle has a hold either. And perhaps Biscan is running again because there is no one else who wants to partner with Borgo. Better tidy up you affairs Ms. Gibson.

In a way you are right. But there's a crack in the foundation. How come this town has no statue honoring a founding father? It is because there has been no one sturdy enough to build an homage to? You have liberally expanded on the meaning of, and the spirit of, the term - pillar of the community. Sometime back the Village commissioned a study and a rendering of proposed improvements for the downtown area. When it came to discussion on the matter I recall Mr. Doyle being only concerned about what the proposed changes would do in and around his favorite watering hole - Gallagher's. That narrow vision and concerns does not, in my opinion, constitute one for an award of "pillar of the community. But I do like J. Doyle. He's a nice guy.
