Not at all my friend. I am still running, I however an running on a much much smaller budget then my opponents. I'm doing everything myself. I have no committee or backers. My signs will be made by hand and my meet and greet will be made in person when I knock on your door.

Really, Don? Are you going to be doing the People's work from your mom's basement, aka 'home'? Get a job man. Move out of mom's basement. Get some experience, maybe some education and we'll consider it.

Donald, astute voters like to elect someone to office that has some skin in the game. You know, they own a house and pay property taxes!

Normally I make it a rule not to reply to anyone on here that is so cowardly that they won't use their real name, however Seriously does raise some good points. They are however wrong. First off I have an education, a degree in electronic engineering, and I'm currently studying to get a Masters in Mathematics. You know the science of dealing with numbers. The same numbers that come with budgets and how to get this town back on one where the town starts making money and not just the people in the village hall. I have a job. Actually I've had a job of one kind or another since I was thirteen and working as a farmhand. In fact the only time I haven't worked was the years I was dealing with my shattered arms and all the surgeries that came with that. At which point I lived with my parents because for almost two years they were my arms and hands. Now I still live at home. I have a sick and disabled father and a mother that is working her fingers to the bone. So yes I have decided to stay with them and help them, because they are my family and without me they would be without a home. So while my name isn't on the paperwork that doesn't mean that I haven't been the one paying the bills and that the taxes for this town aren't getting paid with my checks.
As for me doing the right thing. I'm doing it. I'm running for mayor. This town is at a crossroads. We can go back down the washed out roads behind us or travel somewhere new. Personally I'd rather travel a new road then ones that do nothing more then hurt this town.

As opposed to getting defensive and using a derogatory tone (you know the science of dealing with numbers..) you could explain what you'd like to accomplish and how you plan to do that. I have yet to see any of those things posted on Topix or FB.

I thought it was proper to talk in vague language about a plan because the other guys will just steal it and just claim it for themselves to own. The three I have seen do this in the past are Doyle, Biscan and Borgo. All three have taken other folks ideas and used them like they had the eureka moment. And remember another thing Mr. Hunt. The people around here want to put your feet to the fire but they don't put Borgo's feet to the fire, nor do they hold Doyle to anything substantial either. Watch where you tread.

There's no point putting Borgo's feet to the fire-I'd never get a straight answer! As for Doyle it would most likely be the same. I was happy to see someone else who is interested and I've been waiting to see what it is his plans are. So far I've seen no reason why I would vote for him other than he's not Borgo or Doyle. I'm more than happy to support someone new but I haven't heard a single new idea come from this man. I haven't seen or heard anything except "put a sign in your window" and that makes me believe he can't even run a campaign let alone a town no matter what degree's he has.
Mr. Hunt may I suggest that you get some friends together, have them help you throw together some baked goods, splurge on some lemonade and hold a fundraiser in a church basement. Get your friends out there to get the word out and put up some signs. You want to put yourself out there-then get out there!

Dude, aren't the people looking for someone who doesn't fall into the same old trappings? You suggest that Hunt should go around and perform the same - o - same cliches. May I propose that all Village candidates participate in two things: A debate of the issues and a tug - of - war contest over a mud pit. Patti Lucas included. These two events can then help shape the voters opinions.

How do I know he doesn't have the same-o-same ideas? Performing some of the old cliches is how he will get the voters to know who he is and what he wants to do!
I would love to see a debate! How can we make that happen? I would also be agreeable to a tug of war as long as Borgo is at the front of the line and he doesn't find a way to charge us for the mud. He'd probably give it to Marion as a bonus!

Yes! A debate is a wonderful idea. None of the candidates have put out any information on what their plans are. Informed voters are the best voters.

I would love a debate, and I have approached most of the other candidates and letís just say a debate of one isn't much of a debate. The only thing I can say is please feel free to go on my Facebook page and ask questions. I realize it isn't the best way to go about something as important as this position should be to all of us.

A debate sounds like a great idea! You could wear your Superman cape! You know, the one you strolled into Fritzs wearing on a random Thursday nite? Are you medicated by chance? Also, I hear you have BIG ideas (hint) for a new police Chief. You sure as hell don't want that one getting out buddy boy. This town would crucify you. I'll hold onto that tidbit for now.

I agree, don't make prommises you can't deliver.Other canidates are also saying they will make Big changes. We have all heard this before.Yes we are all looking for a change, not lies or prommises.I also know if you don't get out and talk to residents, you won't be going anyware.Seriously think about that and think of running for trustee in two years.Let the residents see what your made of.Good Luck
