Although this may violate everyone's rights, it's still a good thing.

Who'd in their sane mind go to LA bars to drink? There are better areas to go for cocktails than LA.San Pedro seems rough in many areas.

DB up to it'e old tricks again. The guy who tells the locations of the DUI check points is probably a drinker him self and it makes him feel good to help his buddy drinkers out.

How does sobriety and drivers license check points "violate everyone's rights"? Driving is NOT a "right", it is only a "privilege". If you are driving, you need to do certain things in order to have that privilege. One is to have a license and the other is to not drink and drive. How is that violating ANYONES rights?

They publish the list of checkpoints because they are legally required to.

Great job P.D.I live in Gardena Redondo Beach blvd. & Vermont. I drink and stay home and happy to hear the crackdown is working, this could explain why the idiots in my area that race around drunk on the weekends blasting music doing dounuts in the intersections have stopped lately.

Double check your information, the courts have ruled that they are no longer required to publish it. They just publish the locations to shut up the know it all lawyers.

You drunkards don't drink and drive, you can kill yourself or an innocent bystander. Learn, also if caught you face jail time, outrageous fees.

Sandra of Wilmington, my assistants would be more than happy to get a written report from you, in order for us to conduct a survey of the area, in question. I have an office in Wilmington at 544 North Avalon and an office in San Pedro. Office hours at the San Pedro are 9am to 430pm, closed on Holidays. Looking forward to helping you.

Wait, this is a DUI checkpoint. and 1 possible DUI was apprehended? Come on, call it what it is, a fundraiser! How'd you like it if they towed your grandmoms car or your sisters car? Why would they tow it at a DUI checkpoint with only 1 possible DUi suspect? How are they protecting anyone, they are inconveniencing people with regulation enforcement. Work on solving some crimes and finding fraud. Why not take some back the $3.5Million pensions for retired the police chiefs and others instead?$15K/Month for some of them:
