As for the 20 complaints against my company, we have processed over 13,000 military claims since FRV begin 10/01/2007. While we strive
to have zero complaints, I guess I can live with 20. And, as for the Better Business Bureau, I have not responded to any complaints....thus,
the F rating.

I feel your pain. I am active duty Army and was subjected to this crappy company. I had over 4000 in damage according to the estimates they told me to get (which they now refuse to pay for). They offered me 200 because they "are not liable for said items". It's been almost 8 months and they are still denying me.

Just wondering if they go over their 60 day mark, would it be wrong of me to sue them? Waiting for a substantial amount of money in order to get this moldy furniture out of my house. I'm tired of it, and would it to be gone like 60 days ago. If they keep playing the game of non-responsive, I have a family friend who likes winning money...

I don't know if that would work or not. This company is a go between for the common carrier. They have zero to lose but I bet if some digging was done on their books it would be interesting. I would gladly join a concerted effort of bringing this company to the poor house then donate the money to The Fisher House.

Worst experiene of my life! We've waited a year just for an offer (that was just rediculously low) and still have not recieved compensation. They really need to loose their military contract!

News is I am getting my full amount for my claim through Army channels. I was told the funds came from CAT's contract. I want to take a picture of a check and let Linda know she is buying me a steak dinner.
I agree with everyone and urge everyone to contact whoever they can to file a complaint. CAT is the classic example of a government contract which should be cancelled. I am still pursuing some means I cannot discuss, legal of course, Lord knows I don't want a restraining order filed against me, on bringing CAT to justice and causing them to loose the contract. It is a lenghty task.

Two days ago I got my full amount, one year and three months after the process began.
I promptly sent an email to Linda, Mr. Steve Kelly who supposedly oversees these contracts and a couple of individuals from professional organizations, thanking them for the "help" Yeah right. Well Linda sent back the following email wiht my response on top:
Settle down. If you took as much effort to respond to the 14 plus complaints on the BBB site as you did with this email maybe your company wouldnt have the substandard rating it does.
How your company continues to do business with the U.S. Government is beyond me but hey I guess that is just a sign of the times and the DOD rep on this email string seems to think the same. So evidently you are covered.

I will glad to supply all docs from my file to whomever you would like. I would also be happy to speak with anyone who would like to speak to me. My file is well documented, including all phone calls. You apparently also looked me up on "Google" as you quoted personal information

You threatened my staff repeatedly. You threatened to come to my office to "resolve this matter". You looked up my home phone and
address and left me two messages on my home phone, also threatening to come to Los Angeles to "resolve this matter".
As for my rating with the Better Business Bureau, I have a "F" rating because I have never responded to any complaint filed with this agency.
They have no idea about this business so trying to "defend" our actions would be useless. Further, it is a time consuming process and

Two days ago I finally received the remainder of settlement for the mentioned moving claim. This was done with no help at all from Claims Adjustment Technology.
If the powers that be would research the numerous complaints filed against Ms. Bluel's company I think they would be hard pressed in justifying continued business with her. It really does amaze me this company is still working in conjunction with the U.S. Government. The 'F' rating is still there with the Better Business Bureau but appears not to matter. This is really hard for a taxpayer to stomach especially in today's environment.
But alas, if none of the individuals show apathy then the consumer is left to wolves.
As related in my several emails and complaints I think the only reason I received my full claim amount is I am an E-8 with 17 years in the service and know when I am being duped. The SPC, Airman, or Lance Corporal in my same shoes would probably take at face value the ridiculous initial offer made by CAT.
I will continue to do what I think will help by appraising my Congressman of each and every complaint lodged against CAT and only hope that somewhere in the contracting chain or professional association channels, someone will wake up and smell the roses.
Anyone who has further complaints needs to go direct with their Congressional Rep and that Mr. Kelly listed in the above emails.
Good luck to those who WILL be short changed by Linda and her company. Keep up the good fight.

I found some more stellar reviews of Linda's company on Trustlink. No surprise here:
Claims adjustment technology, Is a small office used by moving companies to bury customers in anger and frustration, they have a large amount of their yearly income paid by your tax dollars via Military Contracts and have no intentions of doing a single thing to earn it, the owner is no more than a common thief, She has the professionalism of a disobedient Jack Russell. The mere thought of ever doing business with this company again makes me sick to my stomach with anger and disdain. Further more to make it even worse this company is not known for mixed reviews, every where this establishment could be reviewed it was, and poorly. Do not, I repeat do not get involved with this company as a customer, or to hire them as a service provider. THIS WILL ONLY RESULT IN A LOSS OF CUSTOMERS.

i PCS's from WA to CO and the moving company had damage some of the furniture this was my last move in the military since i was retiring in CO, i filed the necessary paperwork and after 55 days contact this company Claims Ajustment Technology, the person i spoke with on the phone stated they had 60 days to process the paperwork, so i gave them the 5 days called back with no answer or return calls after leaving messages. we ended up having to contact the moving company who uses this company for the claims and made contact with there owner who i guess contact the owner of this company. Linda Bluel finally after 2 weeks got in touch with us to send and adjustor out to look at the furniture. this was now way over the 60 day mark. long story short, i asked for the explination on my stuff with a NO COMMENT attitude. basically i found this company useless and would highly recommend the MIlitary to allow this company to do the adjustment im officially out over 1000.00 dollers because there idea of compasation is very unreasonable.luckly i never have to use any company to move again except local and i feel sorry for any Military family who are already stretch thin money wise get riped off by this company.

Back to 2009: From Trustlink.
We moved in July and have still been unable to get someone to come out and make an appraisal. It's now January! We filed our claim -- but they just send an email that someone will talk to us within 20 business days. We give them 40 days, and when we contact them again, they tell us they need more information. Why didn't they ask for it before? So we send it again, we get the 20 day thing again, and the time passes with nothing again.
They give us an extension and a name and no phone number. It's just a ridiculous way of doing business. We call the JAG office and they say to go to the carrier, and then the carrier sends us to the Claims Adjustment Technology.
I have grease and tears in my sofa, but they still haven't even sent an adjuster out, so I can't have it cleaned or repaired. Can you imagine me trying to have people in my home?
I wish I could give negative stars. I hate to boost their scores this much.

2008, already a "good" track record: From Trustlink.
I have had to deal with no return Phone calls, or e-mails. My adjuster is always on the phone but she is to busy to talk to me. I have been put on hold till the busines closed(about 40 MIN.) when i asked to speak to a supervisor they told me that they were busy. I am military and i have a Full replacement value insurance on all of my House hold goods but they seem to think i will settle for less then half of my claim. this company is full of crooks. dont deal with them and if you have to just get a lawyer to talk to them.

Three years ago and CAT's/Linda reputation is the same as today: From Trustlink.
This is a 3rd party company that does claims for moving companies. When there is a problem with your shipment, the moving company uses them. It is as if they do not exist. The web site is easy to use, states on there that someone will contact you within 20 days, makes you feel good about it. At 20 days I call them and get the secretary, Linda isn't there. Every couple days I call again, linda isn't there and still no call back or email. I'm now at 57 days after submission and guess what, Linda still isn't there but I can leave a message! I believe they are just waiting for me to give up. The real problem, besides the complete lack of communication, is I had no choice in who my moving company uses for claims.
Before you do a move, wether it is a personal move or a governtment move, try to find out who they use for claims adjustment. If it is Claims Adjustment Technology, send up the red flag and request a different mover.
I would give no stars for this if it were possible.

Could you please tell me the process you went through to get the military involved. I have worked on my second rebuttle with CAT without any luck in forcing them to comply to the contract for FRV. Do I just go to the local transportation office?

I understand the frustration with Claims Adjustment Technology. I was transferred from Alabama to Germany in September 2012. My family and I received very poor service from the moving company and most of our "new" furniture was damaged. Some was so damaged that it must be thrown away. After finding a home I immediately processed my claim using DPS in November 2012. Many months later my claim was finally processed and this was my first dealing with CAT. I did everything required and paid someone to inspect my furniture in Germany. The amount to repair the furniture was well over $9000 so i figured I would receive a decent amount from CAT. I almost passed out when the CAT crooks offered me $3800 for everything and I was claiming a total of $13000 for everything damaged. Normally I do not file claims but this move was horrible and to receive a claim this small was basically telling my family and I to go to hell.
I immediately researched this company and noticed many others having the same issues. After the bogus offer they sent me I knew exactly what CAT was about and it was not to assist soldiers and civilians with claims. I am sure the younger soldiers take what they are offered because they feel that must. This is poor business ethics and someone should stop this from occurring. I have generated a few letters to send to congressman and others in DC to do my part to stop this.
Please, research the moving companies assigned to you before the move. if they use CAT for claims, you should immediately request a new moving company. Many moves will require no claim at all but as with my last move almost every piece of furniture was damaged and CAT had the nerve to tell me that my furniture was damaged before I moved. I have receipts that prove the furniture was purchased new just prior to my move. This will go to court and the moving company will be responsible. I forgot to mention that I also have pictures of my furniture taken just before the items were packed. These pictures were sent to CAT and they still told me that my furniture was damaged prior to the move. WTH??? What happened to business ethics in this country?

Actually, full replacement value is the cost to replace an item with a similar item of like kind and quality at today's price not the time of purchase. It is not Actual Cash Value which is the original purchase price minus depreciation for age and condition. So technically your settlement should provide you enough to repair the repairable items and replace those that cannot be repaired with new items. I am a licensed all-lines adjuster. I wish you were my adjuster because I would make so much off of you in mediation

Since I am sane, I am handling it the correct way, but do know this company is trash.

Ladies and Gents,
I am currently in the process of settling a claim. I supplied pictures and a detailed description of the damage caused to my Grandfather clock that was DROPPED and smashed. The movers backed away from it like it was a ticking time bomb it was so trashed when they opened the crate. The clock was bought new for $2500 in 2002. It is now worth over $7000. I asked for 5500 Euro, because I am stationed in Germany again and can reasonably go pick one up for that much. They offered me $500 for "cosmetic" damage. It can not be put together, it doesn't work, the glass is smashed out of it and the cabinet itself has come apart. Cosmetic my ass. They haven't even addressed the rest of my furniture.
It is an insult and they definitely try to go after the young and na´ve military members who will settle for whatever. I will NEVER choose a moving company that uses CAT.
