First of all, the police don't prosecute, the DA's office does. Secondly,unfortunately there is no case. Any evidence, apart from other "gang member" witness testimony or a confession to being in the gang is circumstantial. The prosecution tells the judge that they are affiliated with a gang in order to make their case seem iron clad and win the jury/judge in their favor.

I think you should be more concerned that the people are being out behind bars and less concerned about the judicial court proceedings. Also, the police arrest and the DA prosecutes. It does matter because in court, the DA would be making the claims of the person being a gang member. You are confusing two very different entities, friend.

They are doing their jobs. The keyword here is BUSTED. You said "When they bust someone". From my perspective (somebody who doesnt do stuff that would get me busted), if the police legitimately bust somebody for something, whether or not they are in a gang is irrelevant to me. They were busted, sentence them and be done with it. If you LOOK like you are in a gang, then the cops will assume you are in one. I notice how many Mexican males rock that gangsta look to be cool, and this is an example of how it backfires.

Wake Torrance police,of course there's gangs in Torrance .... go to the Del Amo mall. If we could see police files, I bet it would indicate that crimes has risen and many gang members charged. As the city demographics continue to change more crimes will increase. Torrance is no longer nice city to live in, thus many moving out.

Obviously, the angry people above are in trouble with the law and are speaking bitterly. People belonging to gangs do still shop, eat, and go to the movies in Torrance. It's a free country. But there is no gang activity.

Um, I dont commit crimes. I agree that they are hippocrates if they stated that there are no Torrance gangs, but there are. You can see them near the South Bay Galleria, and you can see their tagging. Where did they say there were no gangs?

Your correct about Torrance Police being hippocrates, but you couldnt have picked a more useless example, in my opinion. What about the fact that they are a criminal gang themselves. Just a few officers are responsible for a majority of the crime in and around Torrance. The crime reports rarely if ever have any serious crimes...but officers from this city can be found attacking innocent people on Western day in and day out.
That they do not get prosecuted for their crimes, does not a good person make.
That they are encouraged to lie in open court to prosecute innocent people of rediculous infractions is troubling.
This PD has absolutely no credibility...none. Attacking innocent people, sexually assaulting women, stealing private property, and it goes without saying, these officers are always in the middle of a cover up. They stay that way since they never admit any of their actions. If this behavior was only towards felons, it wouldnt be OK. I'm more afraid to walk in front of cops than I am crips..I've seen some shaddy stuff done by cops..getting blow jobs while on duty...throwing a woman's keys after giving her a ticket. Treating family members like criminals for unloading luggage at a airport..harrasing a grandmother..etc...I have no love for them but I have to respect them cause I might get a beatdown for just being a lighter shade of brown. You can't win if you report them either. They all cover up for each other..like some organised mafia. But God sees all and one day they will have to answer for their racists ways.
