"There are two modes of establishing our reputation: to be praised by honest men, and to be abused by rogues. It is best, however, to secure the former, because it will invariably be accompanied by the latter..." -Charles Colton, 1832.
There are at least two modes of destruction of one's reputation: to be exposed for the fraud one is by honest men and to be abused by rogues. Regrettably, the latter is far more effective than the former. VAdm Arthur is a remarkable example of both. He is a rogue who has unjustly abused others, even unto their total ruination, with malice aforethought. Unhappily for him, he now stands exposed by honest men for the fraud that he is and his reputation therefore richly deserves destruction, yet the vapid prestige of his former offices, fraudulently obtained, have somehow served as a bulwark of relative immunity against just and proper charges against him. the current public hue and cry against him, consisting of two articles, in two first-line newspapers, the Chicago Tribune and the Philadelphia Inquirer, both associated with blog comments supportive of the stories, in their majority, is so far ineffective, more's the pity. This is a sad commentary on the efficacy of public opinion to cleanse the commonwealth.

We just received notice from the current dental flag officer, proudly announcing the new Dental Corps flag selecton. What a disappointment but, not a surprise, she’s the third in the line of vassals VADM Don Arthur, the recently disgraced former Navy Surgeon General personally groomed by placing them in selective positions to destroy the Corps. Ask her what price she had to pay to earn Don’s grace! Now she’s to lead this dysfunctional ship of dentistry but, where does “her” moral compass lie. Ask her about the adulterous relationship she’s had for years with another senior dental officer. A relationship I and other enlisted sailors observed when we were stationed together in Okinawa. Of course sailors and junior officers went to admiral’s mast and were punished for such acts as well they should have been but the senior officers we were supposed to look up to never were. Our only hope was the faith that some day they would be held accountable. But in the CHAOS created by VADM Arthur and his legions they’ve instead risen to prominence. Does Navy leadership have no conscience or respect for the institution? How can they pledge Honor, Courage and Commitment when they ignore those who live a life of lies, and systematically cover up the adulterous behavior and moral prostitution of those they promote as “Leaders”?
VADM “Dandy Don” Arthur, the false prophet and proclaimed Renaissance Man with questionable credentials, who “had more degrees than a thermometer”(right!) continues to reach out of the shadows to wreak havoc on the Navy Dental Corps. It was his personal passion to disestablish an organization that for years had led and surpassed efforts to enhance the lives of hundreds of thousands of Sailor and Marines by developing and promoting “real leaders”, the right way, men and women who had vision and grace who told the truth. The lie admiral Arthur cast, the reason he wanted to integrate (disintegrate) the Dental Corps was to “learn from the best”. In reality what he wanted to do was to rid the Dental Corps of its “honest leadership” and replace them with his vassals, his small cadre of sycophants who made up his inner circle. Those he “hand picked” to parrot his soulless slogans and carry out his folly. He once proudly told everyone “to read his favorite books like “Leading at the Edge of Chaos” and “Predictable Surprises”. The only predictable surprise is the CHAOS he’s created with his false promises and lies to disguise his own transgressions.
As a former dental tech and now dental officer, I proudly mentor Sailors and Junior Officers about their future. But, how can I do that convincingly when the leaders in place who should be their role models are shams and ghosts of what should have been. I’m told several other senior dental leaders, all fruit from VADM Arthur’s executive medicine tree have routinely fallen from grace when properly challenged and been relieved from positions they were simply not ready and competent to perform. For shame Navy Dentistry and our leaders who stood by willingly and allowed this to happen.
I recently returned from proudly serving my country in Afghanistan and I tell you our Junior officers can’t wait to leave the Navy, some planning to join the Army or Air Force who appear to have a more critical eye for promoting the right people.
VADM Arthur has reached out of the shadows again to promote one of his vassals, an adulteress who now follows in the footsteps of the two previous “Benedicts”. Shame, shame Navy Dentistry! We depended on you to stand up for us and do the right thing! We all know what you really did! Now do the honorable thing. You know what that is! Go away and stop shaming our Corps!

Is the sudden death of your brother's wife related to whether or not he is guilty of fraud?
Please give us an "update" on how your brother has coped with his wife's sudden death. Was there an investigation? Was she cremated? How soon after her death? Are there any "new women" in his life?
Help us, so we can grieve with you.
Maybe there is more here than meets the eye.
Although I'm not in the military, this whole thing is absolutely disgusting....about as disgusting as the crimes I have exposed on the Texas Medical Board that no investigative reporter will investigate.
What is the reason certain "crimes" are never prosecuted? I smell a rat.
How do I know so much about your brother? The desperate people whose lives your brother has destroyed have come forward to help me in my fight with the Texas Medical Board. Not only are we fed up with corruption and murder in the military, we are fed up with corruption and murder in the whole damn government.
You hsve the right to free speech but why would you be so hateful as to question the funeral plans of a grief stricken family.....that is outright venonmous !

Family loyalty is understandable. Ignorance is not. Supporting outright lies, well, I leave it to your conscience. Comparing an online RN to an online JD are not quite the same. And really, I'd prefer any nurse caring for me or my family to complete her nursing education the usual way, in person, and not at a keyboard,- thanks.

I am a 'real' nurse.....having been trained 'in the usual way' for over 30 years before having the opportunity to recieve my college degree in the field......your comments regarding my skills and compassion are a reflection of your own ignorance.....and anger that you have no reason to aim at me.
