Scalise, Burns in GOP runoff; Democrats choose Reed

State Sen. Steve Scalise of Jefferson easily led the Republican primary in the 1st Congressional District on Saturday but fell just shy of the majority needed to avoid a runoff with state Rep. via NOLA.com
