Jewell's Hwy 55 Auction

We went last week and it seems like a scam to me. "Someone" bid on a lot of items and this week Jewell is auctioning off these items in Shelbyville. Seems to me he is running up the prices. He also said he would sell everything in the building at "absolute auction". This did not happen. He declined the bids on several items and did not bring all items up for auction. I should have known it was a rip off when he started the auction with a prayer. Just another hippo-christian at work.

I went there last week and I wouldn't go back. I seen a man come in to collect his money and they told him quote 'hit the road after 7 days'. I also overheard a man next to me saying if his items didn't go for what he wanted, they hold him he could bid on his own items and buy them back from the auction for 20% of the bid. That was enough for me.

We both know it is, as a matter of fact you said it into the microphone so everyone could hear you. That place is clealy unprofessional and a waste of folks time.

If you pay close attention you will notice some of the same people there EVERY week running up the bids. These people are there for the purpose to drive them up and increase his sales. Sounds like he needs to be reported, especially if he is advertising absolute auctions and then rejecting bids/sales.

Be careful. Got a four wheeler from there. It was stolen from someone in his family from alabama. Lost the money and the four-wheeler when the sheriffs dept took it back.
