you dont wanna work there, the days of employers appreciating men n women with good work ethics are long gone, theyre more in favor of the people who do as little as possible, and they say several people from the same family cant work in the same department, but thats bull shit n the favortism between the family is unreal, theyd give up 5 good employees to keep the one idiot just cuse hes family, so unless yer related to james and jason, or just a ballless ass kisser you aint got a snowballs chance in hell there, so no you dont wanna work at van rob

yep, its official, if you are a good worker n have perfect attendence, you might as well give it up, the jokes they have in management pull for the ones who show up once in a while, so if you have any plans of applying for a job at van rob, heres somthin to remember, if you go to plat 2, make sure youre work ethics and attendence are poor, the only qualifications for workin at plant 2 are make sure you kiss management and the chosen ones ass, if van rob would open their eyes, im pretty sure theyd change some things about management, i dont understand where the work ethics left the work place , but it sure has ruined the industry, men arent men anymore, in the few months i was there i seen more tattling , n backstabbing than i did in my years of middle shool n high school, where that kinda behavior is expected, how ever , let em breed worthless people, its their future to, i worked for a company that had been in business for 108 years, n i watched it die , n after the damage was done , then they realized if they had looked closer at management theyd still be in business, good luck van rob

100% true. It's all pretty much backwards. I mean everything. You come to work and work your ass off and you get penalized for it. W t f is up with that? This guy above knows what he's talking about. They'd rather you come to work and kiss their asses and take all their random non-sensible crap they try to dish out and you sit there and take it. I don't know if it boosts their ego's or just gets their jollies off being in a position where they can tell you what to do. Not all the management there is bad. There are some good ones. I will not mention any names but the lower level management are the ones who need the TLC. The only negative things i can directly relate to upper management is their poor abilities to resolve not so easy situations. Seems like if there isn't a clear cut answer to a problem they just say to hell with it and blow it off like two perfect examples is Christmas when the employees were supposed to get a bonus? uh well sure didn't happen after a couple months of expecting at least something and the other example is for the employees who decided to risk their safety and health to come to work that dreadful Monday when nobody came to work, they were promised to receive something for coming in that day...... well that didn't happen either... So what are we supposed to believe? A thanks here and there is appreciated but sorry charlie it doesn't put money in our pockets so don't lie or just don't even mention it at all so employees don't get their hopes up just to get them crashed. I personally think a few changes in management is in dyer need. Van-Rob is not a bad place to work it would just be better there if they would just let people do their jobs and leave them the hell alone like the old days, Award people who do their job and have good attendance not fire them because of it and quit treating people like little kids when i am pretty sure 18 years old classifies you as an adult.

Not all of the people who are still working there are ass kissers some of us mind our business and do our jobs and that is why we are still employed. As for the Christmas bonuses I totally agree but not about the reward for coming in on the snow day it was a regular scheduled work day and evertone who showed up got payed why should they have to reward you for doing what you were hired to do? The pwople who have been let go lately have mostly had legitimate reasons to have their assignments ended so stop complaining and either man up and do your jobs like the adults you are or find another job.

lol hey none, use a ip scrambler next time ya try ta poke your nose where it doesnt belong, puttin indianapolis in n then talkin about whats goin on at a corrupt plant in this little nowhere bound jerkwater town, well youre completely transparent, wich advertising your IQ like that, pretty much plants you right in the middle of plant 2 in manchester tennessee, let me explain somthin to ya there scooter, i walk alone n i stand alone, the reason for this is, people like you always end up lookin completely stupid, ive seen it a million times in my life, yeah yeah youre an adult n you do your job ( kiss butt ) but then after all the lipstick kisses you plant on the bosses bottom, it goes sour, 1 thing goes wrong, n then you see th real jello in his spine, management always takes the weakest n most gullible to be their puppets or pawns, the reason for this is, management has the jump ship n every man for them self attitude, so let the one thing go wrong, maybe his boss gets on him, n well UH OH , here it comes, shit runs down hill, the jelly back grabs his little pawn n throws him to the shark, causin just enough of a distraction for him to save his own ass, n when the smoke clears there stands scooter with lipstick smeared lips n brown cheeks, adding insult to his own injury, my point is, you claim to be an adult, but your post clearly says im a boss's puppet, times have changed, the real men are gettin up there in age n leavin the workforce, n this pamperd young guy moves in n cause of all these new sissy laws, atre becommin powder asses, tattlin n cryin, i miss the days of when iof you were worthless ya got fired n if ya cried otr tattled, ya went home with one or two missing teeth, but one hell of a valuable lesson, im proud to be in that generation, i feel good about who i am, i never have ta look in a mirror at the person who caused a good person to lose his job cause im a jelly back coward all in all, take a good look at whos pullin your strings, n decide what kinda person you wannas be, i was kicked in the face n then asked to walk away, its hard to do, but what the hell karmas never more than 2 steps behind you ya reap what you sew

The people who came in on that monday should be rewarded for 2 reasons. 1 because we were told we would get rewarded which should be enough by itself. 2 because wether it a scheduled workday or not people still risked their own safety and health to come in and keep that place running. Lets say those employees didn't come in? guess what van-rob doesn't run and loses alot of money so a little contribution to my bank account with a slice of appreciation i don't think is to much to ask. just saying. but whatever it doesn't matter i'm not going to be here soon if not hired in the next hire in.

when i first moved to manchester back in early 2009 i moved here for a job i made 21k a year doing. It was horrible money and immense responsibility. Around the end of 2009 I was told my company was no longer going to be able to afford my wages so my pay was docked and I was left at min. wage with 2 kids and a wife. Having nowhere else to turn I went to Ranstad and was hired to start that night for Van Rob. I was hired in April 2010 and have been happy making tons of money with great insurance ever since. If you are thinking of applying for VR I broke 32k my first year and I should be around 39k by the end of this year. I know no one from this town and my family is over an hour away. I break 58 hours every week and can provide for my family better than Ive ever been able too. If you are thinking of applying for vr I strongly advise it. Ive seen many people come and go. Tons of people cant handle the hours. Some cant handle the work. Some arent attentive enough to make good parts. Van Rob asks that you wear proper safety equipment, show a good attendance record, do your job, make good parts etc. I guarantee most of the folks that have posted failed to do one or more of these things. This is the best money in this town to my knowledge. I still have 2.50 to top out on the floor but if you put my pay on a 40 hour scale it tops 20 dollars an hour or more.

LMFAO. You get an A for effort on saying something positive about that place. For one obviously you don't work in plant 2 because nobody gets 58hours a week there. So if someone was to read your post and decide to get a job there they'll be highly pissed at you for lieing to them when they realize they've fell well short of 30k a year. If you think this is they best money in this town you arebviously one uneducated individual. Manchester isn't a big money town no but for one who had a degree in something it can be financially sound for them. So maybe you should take your old ass to school and realize that there's more out there than Van-Rob. Also MOST of the folks that have been posting on here are great employees, their just tired of the lolly gaggin bullshit that goes on there and are just there to earn a living for their families for the time being and will be out ASAP.

Van Rob asks that you wear proper safety equipment, show a good attendance record, do your job, make good parts etc.

what a joke, i had perfect attendence, wore all my ppe, made good parts, n many times worked through my break and lunch to keep parts caught up, i was fired for reasons that involved me complaining about one supervisors worthless cousin, in fact me and several others were treated like shit over this waste of space, thats why 2 people from the same family have no business in the work place, favortism ruins it, i was pissed at first, but after thinkin about it, i like it , theyre makin this idiot even more worthless by doin his work for him n treatin the good workers like crap cause of him, cause once hes gonme from vr hes screwed, tubby n drunk boy wont be there to hold his hand , good luck to the fools, n just cause you cause you can hide from your conscience behind a drunken coma , you still gotta face karma, it gets everyone eventually,

sorry it took a few days to post its just ive been so busy working for such a successful company. ive worked in both plants and received equal treatment and nearly equal hours. Im actually very young, early twenties to be exact and as for an education...i have so far trained at least 3 former employees with four year college degrees..they didnt work out. The average four person family in this tiny little town makes 30k a year (look it up) and I broke that on an entry level year with entry level pay by myself. This job is easy and as your trustworthy level builds you learn more jobs throughout the plant which means more overtime for people that want it. You will not find people who havent had bad experiences at any job. This job works great for me. So for now you work on that "education" and Ill watch my 55 inch led tv, drive both my paid off vehicles, play my ps3, use my great insurance, buy my children name brand clothes and continue to make more and more money year after year.

I have been at VR for a little more than 4 months now. I will have to say so far it has been a good company to work for. I will have to say that training was a little weak, but it is not like we are building rockets. We are putting parts in machine that will not cycle unless we load it right and all of the safety is in place. Speaking of safety, they seam to take it very serious (at least better than the last two place I worked - which I actually left because there was no safety). I will have to agree with "vr worker since nov. 2009", the money is pretty good for this area and the work is not terribly hard. My one issue so far is that I wish they could keep parts in stock for us to run. We run out, we get more in, we work weekends. But hey glad to be working.

well just so its not misunderstood, i loved n miss my job there n i made some excellent friends, theres nothin wrong with van rob, its the management n if they were to take a closer look at it n ask the employees ( hourly ) things might get better around there, but after dealing with 2 idiots that treat employees bad n dont care if they run off good employees as long as they have their family members left alone, im pretty much over it, im headin outta this little jerk water town n goin back where people are more fair, id like ta stick around n see how this unfolds but its just not worth it, van rob will figure it out soon enough, im sendin one final post to canada n then its fare well to all

lol yeah you keep buyin your kids brand name clothes , its not about what you can buy with yer van rob money, which is a crock, people who work there hourly aint livin high on the hog, at best theyre just gettin by, so stop braggin about yer corrupt supervision money n concentrate on treatin your employees better, thats your problem you corrupt twits but its entertaining to me cause people with your mentality always thjink youre an assett to the company n then BOOOOM shit runs down hill again n karma kicks your ass if it wasnt for twits like you my life would be boring, i watched a supervisor that had youre mentality get walked off the property, we all just laughed n turned our backs to him, didnt offer him one bt of sympathy, and when your time comes, if i see you on the street homeless or beggin for food i wouldnt spit a cracker on the ground to feed ya
