The Tea Party has declared that they will try to infiltrate government at the more local levels. We now see that happening in our Sheriff race, the York Suburban School Board race, and the Springettsbury Township race. Voters do need to be informed so this group does not gain a foothold in the institutions that we care for. Please vote Keuerleber for Sheriff, Clancy, Freirich, Royer, and Schroeder for YS School Board, and Bill Schenck for Springettsbury Township supervisor. The Tea Party claims to be for open government, but they are financially backed by some very special interests seeking to gain power for themselves.

Why don't you want them to get foothold? What should we be worried about? If you want me to vote one way or the other you'll have to give me more than that.

This from the Democratic Chairperson from York that does not work full time, accepts social aid and is supported by his GF........ I know WHO you are :)
Good luck stopping the "change" that is resulting from the Obama-nation that has been the course for the last 2 years. The Liberals must be stopped before all is lost.....

I know the tea party wants local control but I think these many school districts should be consolidated into larger more efficient entities!

So? from your name it appears you are in favor of "local control" which the individual school districts provide. Consolidating will result in less and less "local control" an more "big brother" control!

Legal Dispute

I like how the YDR said the commissioners had to raise taxes in 2009 due to a "legal dispute" they inherited. It was LAUXMONT and the $60-plus million county taxpayers got stuck with. The apologist YDR supported the land grab. Be honest journalists and call it what it was.

You mean like in terms of gay marriage, reproductive freedom, and the right to collective bargaining?

Why, not a thing - keeping out of other people's business is great! Not to mention it's the American way.

I agree we should have a single county school distrist. It would save the taxpayer around $14,000,000 dollars a year.
