I seen that at Wal-Mart in East York. It looked to be flying around 200 feet. These planes usually fly around 30,000 feet. I wonder how a plane that large is allowed to fly that low.

I didn't "seen" it but "saw" it also. Must disagree, I broke out my transit and IT was flying precisely at 31.947 feet above the Route 30 bridge I was sleepin' under. I gotta' quit fartin'; NYRPD is busy enough, without someone reporting a gas leak.

There are routinely large low flying aircraft, C130's I believe, that fly over the Red Lion area just after sun down. Usually you hear them before you ever see their flashing lights. I always figured they are just military transports or exercises. Lately there has been a low flying helicopter buzzing through just after dark.

This was a jet. You could tell by the high pitched sound it made.

No, what you are hearing in Red-Neck Lion are loud obnoxious motorcycles just after dark. That's when all the criminal bikers come out

I actually believe it was Air Force 1 - definitely a 747. Aircraft had a blue top and round emblem.

I saw it fly through the TMI cloud around then. I thought it might be landing at HIA.

Yes, Genesis is correct, it was Air Force 1. The plane had just made a landing and picked up Arlen Spector, they were headed to the susquehanna river where obama was going to open the door and push spector out.

and they actually did more than a dozen low passes. They use harrisburg's 9000 foot runway to practice a number of procedures.

Hopefully, everyone enjoyed the show.

also... the only time that jet was under 1000 feet was in the close proximity to the airport. It's so huge it just looks lower.

Do you think they picked up Arlen Spector to give him "flying lessons" over the Atlantic?

So nobody knows anything about a low flying jet??? WOW!!!! I feel so safe knowing some jet was allowed to fly low around this area and get close to TMI. I feel safer now.
