Full story: The York Daily Record

The state Supreme Court on Thursday took up the case of a central Pennsylvania mayor who was removed from office because he pleaded guilty to a federal felony for threatening to expose people who advertised in a swinger's magazine.

Elections are about the right to choose, this is a fundamental right in our land and in November of 2005, the people of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania USA overwhelmingly VOTED and elected into office Steve Rambler, a man that they knew everything about my story is as old as time. It is a story of the fall of a man and over time the REDEMPTION of a man. It is my hope that others who have made mistakes will also know the power of redemption and be given the chance to serve humanity. It is refreshing to see that the people are taking back government and sending home those who claim to be perfect, when in truth "all have sinned". My hope is that the Honorable Justices of the Pennsylvania Supreme court will find what the Superior court has. It is my Opinion, that this was a political power play of a misguided former District attorney. I also believe that its just one of many reasons that the people chose a new D.A.

Thank you Mr. Rambler, we the people got the short end of the stick in that deal too. Who ever heard of an election being overturned by a crooked DA and his buddy Judge. Keep fighting for us.

I am sorry that I offend you George, I am not clueless it's just that in Pennsylvania the term "Infamous Crime" has never been clear. George if you would like to be educated on our law in this area there is an AP Artical by Mark Scolforo regaurding the subject. I'll try to attach it or you can look it up. Have a nice day!
"HARRISBURG Drug offenses, gun charges, theft and drunken driving turned up in the backgrounds of some state lawmakers when the entire Pennsylvania General Assembly was checked against public records, news accounts and other sources.
At least five lawmakers were found to have convictions of criminal offenses and six others with convictions in cases that were later expunged or stricken. Another five who turned up in the AP investigation with records of arrests or citations either won acquittals or their cases were dropped.
In one case, a lawmaker's 1996 arrest for disorderly conduct in North Carolina remained, unresolved, on the books until the AP began asking about it. It was dismissed late last month.
The AP's background inquiry was undertaken as three current lawmakers face felony corruption trials next year related to the Bonusgate in
vestigation into alleged corruption in the statehouse.
No felonies were uncovered and the misdeeds many dating back decades are not likely to result in expulsion under the Pennsylvania Constitution's language barring anyone from serving in public office who has been convicted of an "infamous crime."
But the state Supreme Court is poised to interpret that vague phrase in a pending case regarding whether a federal felony conviction should have prevented a man from serving as mayor in Wrightsville, a Susquehanna River town between York and Lancaster counties. Previous state court cases have determined that infamous crimes include all felonies, but former Wrightsville Mayor Steve Rambler's conviction was for a federal charge the state Superior Court said would have been a misdemeanor under state law.
State lawmakers' criminal histories raise questions about what crimes should be a bar to public office, as well as how accountable political candidates and officeholders should be for offenses committed decades ago. As lawmakers, should they should be held to a higher standard......." > AP. Mark Scolforo

And you stood by and did nothing. That makes you even worse than those you accuse. You are the problem with this country, you lack a spine. Grow a set of balls and come back when you do.

Im so sorry but I was just a young boy myself at the time maybe 10/11years old. As to my understanding at the time it was reorted by several residencesof the block things were a litte different in those days to now the police would sooner sit in the parking lot at 462 bridge and bs and watch traffic instead of watching a church Those type of actions were overlooked or put on the back back burner. And as to your other remarks about me I work a blue collar job everyday. Never collected welfare assistance for any thing have a nice savings account, bills are paid. Raised my family love my country and grandchildren. And like a buorbon now and then and a cold lager And Duh I do have a real nice set of big balls ask your trashy wife

So Dr. Hope all is well for ya and I'm not busting your balls with this one but collecting welfare doesn't make you a bad person perhaps less fortunate but by no means bad unless you of course abuse it. Now touching little boys that's a f***** shame. I heard the same about that pastor, I was from Wrightsville I know exactly the spot and kind of creepy he did it in a church that sat next to a police station.
There ought to be legal inhumane punishments for such perverts but the judicial system cares more about a criminals rights than any other law abiding citizen, animal and things.

You can bust my balls anytime. By no means that I meant it that way Im talking about the ones I see at wallmart that get their groceries then hand the cart off to someone for cash the ones that are collecting that can afford their nails done over feeding and clothing their children The ones that have nine children then have their boyfriend living with them for free
