You canít say you care about the debt after blowing the surplus and swearing to all-powerful Grover that youíll never raise taxes.

You canít say youíre for a smaller government and then use the government to decide how many forced ultrasounds a woman has to endure to make a medical choice.

You canít say youíre for fiscal discipline and let Mitt Romney pay a lower tax rate than most nurses.

You canít say youíre for families and stop millions of Americans from getting the same access to marriage that you have.

You canít accuse groups that donít exist of stealing elections and then spend millions making it difficult for anyone but rich, white men to vote.

You canít say you love America and be unable to contain your hatred for the President, the First Lady and anyone who doesn't vote Republicans.

People may not know President Obama has cut the deficit each year heís been in office or that Ronald Reagan actually socialized medicine. But they get it when theyíre being treated like a fool. And there is no messaging, no rebranding that will make that okay with most people.

Bush 41 lost to Clinton because he agreed to raise taxes in exchange for the Dem's promise to cut spending. Of course, they lied, spending wasn't cut, and he lost. The House Republicans recently agreed to raise taxes while Obama promised to cut spending. What happened? Taxes were raised, spending wasn't cut, and now Obama wants even more tax revenue. See a pattern here?

And speaking of elections, what's wrong with making sure only CITIZENS vote, as our laws require? The left gets all offended when voter ID is required, and for what reason? You have to show ID to fly, buy beer and cigarettes, go to the movies (if they're other than G rated), and enter government buildings and courthouses. Why not also to vote, because it's one of the biggest responsibilities we have as Americans, and must not be abused? Are you afraid your candidates can't win without illegal votes? Probably so, because history shows that the dead have voted heavily Democratic in Chicago and elsewhere for years.

Everything in your post is a lie and can't be proven.(Show us the voter fraud you're so certain is rampant). But, of course, you believe it because it justifies all the fascistic attacks by Republicans on the rights of minorities and students and the elderly to vote because they are more than likely to vote Democratic and not Republican.

But you won't be around much longer. Your party is bankrupt and falling apart. An increasing majority of Americans aren't being fooled any longer and aren't willing to listen to the fools who are taking control of the Republican party and conservative politics.

All you have left is gerrymandering, Citizens United and a television network whose prime demographic is dying off, not to be replaced by younger followers of the bigotry and hatred spewed by fox and Limbaugh and all the other little minions of trash from the fringes of the far right. A fringe looking more and more indistinguishable from plain old insanity.

Insanity is doing the wrong thing over and over again, such as reelecting incompetent leaders. Sound familiar?

Explain to me why people shouldn't have to show ID to prove they're eligible to vote, when nobody has a problem with people having to show ID to drive a car, buy a beer, or fly on a plane. Yet you and your fellow libs get hysterical when states attempt to ensure fair elections by requiring voter IDs, which is not unreasonable.

And stop crying about gerrymandering, the Democrats do it too, especially in New York where I live, where they control everything. This state is falling apart, and has been for years under their rule, and now the country is following suit. I hope you're happy.

You rejoice at America's changing demographics, but be careful what you wish for, because you may get it, and it won't be what you expect.

FYI all you entitlement busters:

The debate over reform of Social Security and Medicare is taking place in a vacuum, without adequate consideration of fundamental facts.

These facts include the following: Two-thirds of Americans who are over the age of 65 depend on an average annual Social Security benefit of $15,168.36 for at least half of their income.

Currently, earned income in excess of $113,700 is entirely exempt from the 6.2 percent payroll tax that funds Social Security benefits (employers pay a matching 6.2 percent). 5.2 percent of working Americans make more than $113,700 a year. Simply by eliminating the payroll tax earnings cap ó and thus ending this regressive exemption for the top 5.2 percent of earners ó would, according to the Congressional Budget Office, solve the financial crisis facing the Social Security system.

<quoted text>If they "lied", so did Bill and Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, and all the world's major intelligence services, who also spoke out against Saddam Hussein, and called for force against him. Considering that Saddam DID have and used WMDs against the Kurds, Shiites, and Iranian troops in the Iran-Iraq War, it was perfectly reasonable to believe that he still had them later on. Hindsight is always 20/20.
Regarding Afghanistan, that wasn't a "fake azz war" as you so eloquently put it. Bin Laden and Al Queda used Afghanistan as a base to plan and carry out 9/11 and other terrorist attacks, protected by the Taliban, so military action there was definitely necessary.
The Iraq war was sold to us as being about WMDs... but it wasn't about that at all. The reason that Saddam ended up hanging by thick rope was two-fold. Here is a history lesson that you won't get from CNN or Fox News...

First, 9/11 was still an open wound in this country. The war in Afghanistan wasn't giving the government any "bang for the buck" in terms of showing us that they were "solving the problem." Meanwhile, they had NO IDEA where OBL was, or even if he was still alive. They knew they weren't going to score any big points there.

Meanwhile... Saddam was flooding the market with oil in an attempt to pay off his country's debt. This was causing a decline in the price of oil... that p!ssed off everyone from the globalists running Exxon Mobil to the oil producing Arab nations. Everyone with skin in the oil game wanted him to curtail the flow of oil out of Iraq.

Our government seized the opportunity to kill two (or 3 or 4) birds with one stone... and headed for Baghdad.

Now, before all of the partisan knuckle-heads chime in... understand, this (like everything else) runs far deeper than the false left/right paradigm.

The US government saw an opportunity to take out a "bad guy" and score some political points at home, curry favor with other Arab nations, and make some oil profits for the elite (curry more favor) at the expense of some bloodshed and partisan bickering.

We're just not interested in the facts, are we?

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard (R) signed a bill into law on Friday that allows teachers to pack heat in classrooms, becoming the first state in the nation to do so.

Similar proposals have been considered in about two dozen states since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre last December, according to The New York Times.

Despite Republicansí insistence that making firearms more available reduces crime, a study released Wednesday by Boston Childrenís Hospital, in collaboration with Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health, finds that states with more restrictive gun laws have the fewest deaths as a result of gun violence.

How Bush's Grandfather Helped Hitler's Rise To Power

Rumours of a link between the US first family and the Nazi war machine have circulated for decades. Now the Guardian can reveal how repercussions of events that culminated in action under the Trading with the Enemy Act are still being felt by today's president.

That's it, joe? Mindlessly plagiarizing some other mindless lib blog and passing it off as your own intellectual product?

No, actually I have no thoughts of my own. So I guess you'll have to just ignore my posts. Thanks.

Yes, Liberals are more decent and American than...er, others.

It was ten years ago tonight that the Dixie Chicks, extremely popular then and far from controversial, caused a massive stir when singer Natalie Maines declared on stage in London:ďJust so you know, weíre on the good side with yíall. We do not want this war, this violence, and weíre ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.Ē It was a little more than a week before their fellow Texan launched a war based on lies.

Of course, hatred was quickly spewed in the Chicksí direction by media types, political figures and country music yahoosówho never then or now get so excited when right-wing entertainers and media celebs make threats against a Democratic president.

Boycotts were immediately announced. Maines clarified two days later,ďI feel the president is ignoring the opinions of many in the US and alienating the rest of the world.Ē But record sales and advance sales of concert tickets plunged.

Maines then issued an apology, of sorts:ďAs a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiersí lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American.Ē
