Oh boy now they can get another bus load of folks from Maryland in OUR state pool meaning no room for Pa residents, even though Pa tax dollars paid for this renovation, I'd like to see a petition to stop out of staters who are not camping in Pa to not be aloud to use our pool...
And if they come and destruct the pool ,then charge them for all damages and banned them from returning to the State Park for life.....

My husband and I took our young boys last June to this pool for the first time...and it will be our last! I was appalled by what my young boys were exposed to there! The vulgarity being shouted and the inappropriate behaviors being displayed was repulsive and forced us to pack up our bags and leave. What a shame that families can not enjoy this beautiful pool, without hearing and seeing filthy behavior!

Oh boy now they can get another bus load of folks from PENNSYLVANIA on OUR state OCEAN BEACHES meaning no room for MD residents, even though MD tax dollars pays for clean up of beaches, I'd like to see a petition to stop out of staters who are not camping in MD to not be aloud to use our beaches...

The prices have gone way up for out-of-staters to get into the pool. It should be interesting to see if they're willing to pay that much for all those kids. I don't see where they would get the money from?

This IS an idiotic post ...... people from PA and other states pump million and millions of dollars into the economies of MD beaches. There is a reason why people from MD come to Codorus .... it's actually nice because people from their own area haven't ruined it yet.

Isn't there more important things in the world to worry about then to post idiotic comments like this? People can go anywhere in the world they choose to go. Yes there are some ignorant people that don't know how to act or take care of things but thats everywhere in the world not only MD. This is so funny and sad at the same time, society amazes me how they don't want to be judged or considered to be prejudice but is so quick to judge others. How would PA residents like if every other state wouldn't want them to come to any of their public places? And even though no color has been mentioned but we can read between the lines due to alot of blacks always go to Codorus and society wanders when or if the world will ever change, well the answer is NO due to people like this.

Wow! Ever hear of sarcasm/being facetious? The intent of the post was "paraphrasing" anothers condemnation of MD folks coming to PA. Place brain in gear, then post!

Common Sense, that was my experience as well. It was funny as me and my wife and kids half walked/half ran back to our vehicle, the ranger asked, "You all leaving already?" and sort of gave a wink and a nod.

Its a nice park on the weekdays, but wow it turns into little africa on the weekends.

Hey Codorus Officials!....Listen up!

These are the stories of your good people. Do something to keep them at the park feeling safe or face them leaving and never returning. Raise the admission prices, crack down on noise or nuisance violations...do something versus the nothing being done now. We're supposed to celebrate this opening of your refurbished equipment when this is what your patronage has become?! Just one more thing in life the good people have lost to the knuckleheads.

And my guess is you don't even care.

I bet those that live in other countries, states, localities and such say the same thing. My only thought on this is to have rules and stick to them. No obscenities, no vulgarities, dress appropriately, etc, etc, etc. We need to have rules and those in charge need to follow them through for the comfort and safety of others. We can't put a regulation on out of state individuals only. I have seen some pretty gross things happen just from individuals in my area. Just think what would happen to the vacation industry and local businesses. Implement rules, and make people adhere to the.

It Kills me that white people are so ignorant and judgmental of other nationalites and ethnic group as if you people are all saints and law abiding citizens. Yes as a race us African Americans have some things that we need to work on, but it is so funny because a lot of the WHITE youth of the day are being intergrated into our culture ( in other words, they are copying our style). Another thing all black people don't act like the ones you just described, thats like saying that all white people are serial killer, all white people smell like wet dogs, all white people cheat to win, all white people steal money from the companies they work for, all white men are pedophiles, or all white men have small penises. Now I am pretty sure there are a few white people to fit into each of these categories but it is not true for all of you. They same way you dont want to be put in one of these demeaning categories stop doing it to African Americans. It is you duty as a parent to teach you children right from wrong, and you are not always going to be able to shelter them or pick up and leave when you hear something you dont like, so maybe you should just STAY IN YOUR OWN HOME!!!!

I couldn't agree w/ you more. Here's a description of my first experience at Codorus State Park for Father's Day (of all days). All three of my kids are under the age of 6. My wife and I took them to Codorus, along with my Mother-in-law, to have a nice outdoors picknic and enjoy some laidback fishing. Things started off fine until about lunchtime. There were some other families there who were minding their own business and enjoying the day as well.
Then came the buses and out they poured. Acting like animals and having no consideration for anyone else. The music started blaring, watermelon was everywhere (ok, that's an exageration).... They started drinking alcohol, screaming and hollering, using profanities. I tried to ignore them for a while. I stayed in my own little fishing hole and tried to block them out. That is until my wife ventured back to the parking lot area. First she saw a mother helping an elementary-aged girl take a dump in the parking lot because the bathrooms hadn't been opened yet. "OK" I thought to myself..when nature calls, fine. But then they left it there! No attempt to get outta view of others. No attempt to be sanitary. Anyway, moving on. Next came the Park Rangers. Before too long, my wife came back to me and said I need to go back up there and help the Rangers because things were getting out of hand. I walked up the little hill to see 2 scraggly Rangers encircled by a bunch of hooten-n-hollerin black folks behaving like they do. That was the final straw. We packed up our area, hit the road and havent been back since. That day was ruined!
Kenya...I'll be the first to call a Spade a Spade. For the record, it wasnt white country folk from the trailer parks who wrecked this day for us. And I doubt it was trailer park people who affected these other park patrons either. Black folk ruin damn near everything they touch. Do us all a favor and stay south of the Mason Dixon for now on.

Kenya I so agree with your comment, and it just goes to show that some of the people posting these demeaning comments about people for MD, or African Americans would make horriable business men and women. People visiting your park from MD is pumping money into your state because I garentee you will not see people from South Dakota, or Nevada traveling across the country to come to this park ( the park is ok, but it's not great). I am pretty sure that if people from MD where prohibited from visiting I am pretty sure the the state gov. would get the money back by raising some type of tax. So you guys really need to stop being so emotional about the situation, it's not personal it's just buisness, the state gov has realized this so should you. I am all for rules being put into place for saftey and protection, but you can not keep the people for another state out. With all of that being said I will no longer visit Codorus State Park. I didn't know that their were so many racist ingnorant people in that area, I fear for my safety. Beside I rather visist places more exotic and less rustic!

It's really funny how Karma works. If you look back at the history of this area, European settlers stole this land from the indigenous people ( Native Americans) and now you are complaing because other people are pushing you out ha ha ha.I guess this is payback. Thats whats wrong with some of you White people today, you think you are entiled to or own everything on GODS green earth or that God favors you more than other people, I don't think God would approve of your racist thoughts. well I hope you enjoy your park hahaha.

All I know is, I wouldn't drive to Baltimore to swim in a pool full of black kids. Don't really understand why a bunch of people from Baltimore want to drive all the way up to PA to swim with whitey.

im fourteen but can act better than most of you adults on here. why do some white people always try to put black people down. have you forgotten you are the ones who brought us over here to america. you always try to make it seem like black people are dumb and dont know how to act. yeah im black but i pass with honor role grades and was accepted into a high school built by Bill Gates. dont put everybody into the catergory of being ignorant because all black people arent. its a shame how adults act these days. i cant believe you have dogs these days. dogs are different but i bet most of you have them but you cant accept people because their of a different race and color.
