Who didnt see this coming?
This move was already in the planning the day FairPoint took over.
Verizon didnt want to deal with the unions. So they sell to FairPoint, a company that is in no way equipped to do the job. Now that FairPoint has failed, Verizon will step back in and "rescue" us, but because they are taling over from a failed company, they wont have to hire union workers, or follow union guide lines.
It was revealed that this was their plan all along before the transaction was even completed, and sure enough, it happened just like we were told.

You got it ! My brother works for Verizon, and he said the same thing when FairPoint took over. Some of the Verizon executives even discussed the strategy in open forums. It wasnt a secret. Now that FairPoint is folding, Verizon will be able to waltz back in and take over, but without having to deal with the unions. It was planned ahead of time. Verizon will sabve a ton of money by not having to hire union labor. It will be interesting to see if all of our cable bills go down in price to reflect those savings, or of some executives fat wife will just get another SUV and another tennis bracelet to wear to Foxwoods while she gambles away the working man's money on her way to the mall.
NH FairPoint customers, you just got screwed BIG TIME.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Capricorn

Get out your list of things to do, because you're in a very industrious and efficient mood. Start with whatever is most urgent and then carry on from there. If you seem to be doing all the work while loved ones laze around watching TV, you'll soon chivvy them along and get them to lend a hand. After all, you don't want to feel like Cinderella!
