I've been in a head-on at 50 mph; seat belts and airbag saved me. Sounds like her airbag failed to deploy or she wasn't wearing seat belts.

first of all, thank you, meghan was a very sweet girl and will be greatly missed from our ENTIRE community, she touched MANY lives.

second of all passingtrucker,

your a complete ass! you don't know our area, you don't know what the weather was like, you don't know the road she was on, or where it is even located, you don't know what kind of car she had. dont judge a person's driving abilities by an accident, thats why its called an accident not an on purpose!

Oh, come on...calling 'passing trucker' names is uncalled for. He was merely making a comment & I don't think he was questioning her driving ability or implying it was anything other than a tragic accident. Don't get so defensive. It's a sad, sad thing to happen & it's only natural to wonder what if this or what if that. It broke my heart to read this story & my thoughts & prayers are with Meghan's family & friends at this time. If this was your friend, please don't make this forum into a p*ss**g contest, but rather, use it to sing her praises & honor her memory.

Why do people always have to post crap like this when a life is lost in an automobile accident? You don't know the particulars of the accident. Many things can make a difference, the vehicle make, size of vehicle, road conditions, size of the person, and many other variables.

God bless the family and friends, may they find solace and comfort in the sweet soul that she was. Her life was truly a gift and now she is an angel watching and guarding over you. Her body may no longer be walking the earth, but her spirit will forever accompany you. She will forever be a Christmas Angel.

To family and friends: Please ingnore any rude or ignorant comments made by anyone. They are just out for attention and want to start problems. It is so sad especially in a case of a loss. This is a time for you to remember Meghan and the wonderful person she was. Ignorant people don't understand because obviously they haven't lost someone special, loved, or important to them. My heart and prayers goe out to all the friends and family of this young girl. She is watching over you all! Like another person said she is your Christmas Angel. God Bless.

I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to think about my precious baby girl. She was beautiful inside and out. She had a smile that was infectious. I stumbled across this site because I googled her name because I NEED to know that she is remembered. She was going to be a teacher and society has been robbed of her. I will never understand why her time was so short, but as I have been reminded so many times in the past week, it isn't the amount of time, it is what was done in that time. Please remember her with peace and kindness. Sometimes anger overshadows the important things.PLEASE don't ever let that happen. Cherish everyone that you know and love, and have compassion for those you may never have the opportunity to know. Thank you all!!

To Meghan's Mom -- My heart just breaks for you. Have you seen the site on Facebook that is devoted to her? The URL is: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php... If for some reason this isn't right, just go on Facebook and search for her name.

So far there are 218 members and many wonderful posts about her. She sounds like she was a truly lovely young woman.

I am so glad that you are sending the message of how important seatbelts are. When we first got the news of Meghan's accident we were told that she did not have her seatbelt on. We just couldn't understand why, as Meghan ALWAYS wore her seatbelt. We suffered terribly thinking "if she only would have had her seatbelt on". We just got the final police report and were told that without a doubt, Meghan was wearing her seatbelt,(oh and for anyone that may have been wondering, no alcohol or drugs, those of us who know her already knew that, but it always is a question). Our dear sweet girl simply fell asleep at the wheel, and God must have had bigger plans for her because neither the belt or deployed airbags made a difference. "passingtrucker", please keep sending your message about seatbelts and I will now be trumpeting the message that fatigued driving also needs to be avoided. Anything to save those we love!!! Thank you for taking the time to write.

To Meghan's Mom,
I am so sorry for you loss. Know this you never, never have to go anything alone. There are still some good people in the world. I wanted to remind you of a poem I hold dear. It is from Robert Frost, "Nothing gold can stay" Please when you have time, find a quiet place you love to retreat to and read it to yourself. I think Meghan would want to hear that poem. You are in my prayers and Meghan graduated to higher level and is now safe where she belongs, I believe that.

To Meghan's Mom,
This is Ashley, Justins sister; All this breaks my heart. I think about her all the time. I know she was a great person; I have MANY great memories of Meghan from when my brother and I moved to Manchester so many years ago. When I think of her it is her smile I see; she really did have a great smile. I miss her and so does my family. You all became like family to us overtime with Justin and Mike being so close. Just know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Please everyone just be safe on the roads. With love, Ashley.
