Your mother had a choice.
Domestic Violence is a serious crime. Many times the way out of the situation for the victim is not so clear. I don't understand why the victim is always the one who is hiding. The restraining order is just a piece of paper and most law enforcement officials do not do enough to protect the victims even with the restraining order. I have a friend, who is currently hiding from my x-husband. He broke into her home and took her clothes and the left shoe from every pair of shoes. She called the Police..they asked her if she "saw him do it" who else would do it...perhaps if the victims had a little more support, they would not have to take the law into their own hands.

I met Kathie in Framingham, also. If not for her I don't know how I would have ever have survived. What a horrible thing to happen to her! She is going to "rise above" it one day and I hope she is able to resume her wonderful life. She loves her daughter and is the "Martha Stewart" of Barton. I hope to raise a glass with her someday in celebration of her resilience. To her daughter: please email me sometime

Marshl....I was going through old photos of my mother's recently and I saw pictures of Lyn from when they were in highschool. I'll tell her that you and Lyn are thinking of her.
