Teaching - and learning, should be exactly the same for all students ... black, white, Asian or a combination of all.

Shall we bring in an RC Priest to teach catholics? A Buddhist to teach Asians? Puff Daddy to teach blacks?

What the student brings to the school is not predicated or changeable by the school staff: what's taught and how it's taught is, and no one should receive any special favors - don't we have enough of that already, and more coming?

more coming? Geesh I guess you wanted to leave the country on the night of November 4th!
I hope Homeland Security has you on the radar cause you seem very very very upset.
Do you really like they way things were being ran with Dubya in the "big house"?
My man Barack has nothing to do with what we are currently going thru, he has to clean it up so that you'll continue to get that good health care. He wants to pull you out of the hole that we are in. Foreclosures etc. my man Barack had nothing to do with that!
BTW Diane is exactly right...

its a respect and truth factor that she thinks the students are concerned about!

Honestly Jen ... yes I did. This country is fast becoming a part of the "third world" and it won't be long thjat all vestiges of the vision our forefathers left to us will be gone.

It was bound to happen sooner or later - a totally free country that invites anyone to come and live here reached a point where that freedom is out of tune with reality - overpopulation. The cause of most of the world's problems.

Both of the worlds greatest civilizations died from within, and are a great model for historians to study - they all predict that this nation will be unrecognizable by the end of this century. It is not necessarily a bad thing, but a natural order of things.

Obama and his Clinton retreads (nice "change") is just going to push it along a little quicker.

You do need to stop your name-calling and implications if you want to stay credible on here. I served my country 5.632 days more than either Bill Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama, and yes, I'm not happy that these two draft-dodgers are now the US's Commander-In-Chief, a position neither of them are even remotely qualified for.

I'm trying to answer your comments respectfully, if you can't, go on to others please.

"Foreclosures". The economic fix we are in now is a direct result of congressional meddling and outright corruption. Carter started it, Clinton continued it, and Obama will add to it. Giving loans to people who can't pay them back, for political reasons, is ridiculous, but it sure does get votes.

GWB had little to do with this crisis and didn't PROFIT FROM IT LIKE DODD, FRANKS AND OBAMA. They not only got heaps of dough from it but votes too - which has always been a distinct democrat ACORNish character. As a matter of fact, the only two people who saw this crisis coming and warned the Pelosi congress, was GWB and John McCain.

"Your man" Obama has already sold you out. Words ... just words.

Jen, like most voters who opted for Obama, you really need to do a little more research on who did what, who promised what, and who never did anything.

You might be surprised.(But you won't, or can't, do it).

I don't want Obama in office ... yes, but I'd rather stay here and fight him, and people like you, than give in.

It won't be long before we all see what we've gotten into. I hope I'm wrong, of course (I thought Bill Clinton would be a good Prez!) but Obama talks a lot like you talk and that's truly scary.

Now you're being stupid.

I don't like Obama because he's done nothing but talk and a million other suspected things.

He's not black.

I could beat him in H_O_R_S_E.

I am a real man.

GW Bush has kept this country, myself, my children, and my grandchildren, safe from terrorist attacks for 8 years. For that I am sincerely grateful.

Lets hope the empty suit can do as well.

Did your boy John Jr. join the military yet. How about the 7000 killed in these wars he green-lighted? Guess you forgot about those people!

From personal experience, I have found that minority students will be effected in school just the same if they are taught by Washington Irving or Albert Einstein.
The real problem is that they attend school sporadically and drop out early. Social Promotion was the solution to that, but now we have high school graduates with third grade reading levels.
It all starts in the home.
AFFECTED not EFFECTED.
