I already posted this in another thread, but will repost it here, as well:

General "Spoon" Wagers died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He'd long suffered with complications from extreme scoliosis, degenerative disk disease, severe arthritis, and a host of other issues related to his advanced age. Recently he decided, against doctor's wishes, to stop taking his heavy pain meds, as he was tired of feeling like a zombie all of the time. The return of his unmitigated pain, combined with withdrawals and the symptomatic depression associated with them, must have taken him to a point where he felt that ending it was his only option. So that's what he did.

The family is hurt and hurt bad, but Spoon is hurting no more, and for that alone I am grateful.

If anyone should have any further questions, I suggest being sensible enough to ask the family directly, and respectful enough not to post or believe baseless Topix gossip and foolishness.

Thank You All and God Bless.

If you are attempting to imply that Erma (not "irma") gained anything other than heartache from the death of her sister two years ago, you are either misinformed or a simply a liar. Her sister's death was reported to the Social Security administration & her last check returned immediately, and no insurance policy payable to anyone in Erma's household ever existed.

If some nosey simpleton is trying to guess at the source of Erma's recent and rather small financial gain, it suffices to say that she recently received a small settlement due to some medical malpractice that had left her clinically blind in one eye - and I have no doubt she'd give that up and more to have her beloved sister, and/or her late husband, alive and back in her life once more, much less her eyesight, if only she could.

But thank you for showcasing your ignorance and petty jealousy for all to see here. There's nothing quite like a petty low-life lashing out at someone while they're down to remind me why I can barely stand that she chooses to go on living here among such worthless wastes of humanity.

Now please, kindly go to hell.

Please see my response to your near-identical post on a near-identical thread.
