depends on what you mean by "great".

Adam: He was great in that he saw God face to face. He EXPERIENCED the perfect created world before the fall.

Noah: Noah was great in that he was the only righteous man left on earth before the flood.

Abraham: He was great in that God blessed him as being the progenitor of the nation of Isreal and palestine.

Elijah: Elijah was great in that God saw fit for him not to die, and took him to heaven.

Moses: Moses was great in that God chose him to lead Israel out of Egypt.

David: David was great in that he was a triumphant king.

John (the Baptist): He was great in that he introduced the world to its Saviour Jesus.

Paul: Paul was great in that he taught and spread the gospel with power and authority throughout the Roman Empire. He even had plans on going to spain.

Peter: This man was great in that he followed Jesus and saw His miracles, and heard His teachings first hand.

John (the Revelator): John was great in that Jesus let him see the vision of His triumphant return. What a great day that will be.

So, each are great in their own respect. You know what? They were all sinners, just like you and I. We can aspire to the same greatness as these with a tiny amount of faith.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Many political analysts say that it was the Muslim bloc-vote, especially in Florida, that significantly helped George W Bush get elected the first time around.

Yeah, Job was great in that he was greatly humble and obedient to God.

Jesus did have younger brothers and sisters, so he could be talking about James. James was an apostle. That must have been weird having the Lord Jesus as your brother. To be raised side by side with Him. James is great in that he overcame his own pride to worship his brother as his Lord.

Galatians 1:18-19
18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. 19But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

Sorry, I didn't see the context. There's a comma there.

Atheistic is still right anyway. Today everyone would be considered Christ's younger siblings, as we all descend from Adam.=)

Isn't it a bit egotistic to call yourself great though?
