How did you find this information? I think we need to call a special meeting and bring this information to the table and to the public. Sounds like more public corruption to me. They will break the city and Carmon is allowing them to do this along with all of the other city members. This company should have been checked out by their high price attorneys from Lexington.

If you check out the address for WMT in Destin Fla you will find that there are about 15-20 companies and offices that are registered with the same address, same suite number as WNT--BIG ripoff and makes one wonder why if I--a backwoods "hillbilly" can find this info that the city/mayor couldn't do a simple internet check? BTW, where did the money come from to fund/start this project?

I wish this was true, that a place would come to CC and bring all these jobs. I have been looking around for information on D. Bennett. If he has owned all these companies and done all these great things...why is there almost NO information on him on the internet. I did find this article very interesting:

You're right, there is nothing going on but stripping coal and logging timber and from what I can gather from the article that was attached, will be all that ever goes on over there, because they won't have enough money to pay their legal fees much less build a multi millon dollar factory and pay 1400 workers in one of the poorest counties in the entire nation.

i had a lot of hope about this before I read all of the info, its sad. its plain to see those guys are con artist. i like the mayor but i'm going to have to say it looks pretty bad on her, at the very least it makes the whole city government look stupid.

Their is no way possible Carmen Webb Lewis did not know about this Scam. She pushed this deal through so fast no one had a chance to ask questions. She even went to Florida twice to meet with D. Bennett. Of course Carmen will sing the same old tune. It's just a misunderstanding. Just need to dot my i and cross my t. Or some people is out to destroy all the good I have done. I have not lived in CC for several years. I don't know the mayor or any of her family. Yet, I do believe that she had to know about this company and these men. Someone a few post ago said, a backwoods "hillbilly" found out this information but the mayor or city council didn't. How true is that...I'm just a hillbilly, but in less than an hour I have found out enough about WNT and GGH that I am sick to my stomach. Two questions..does anyone know the answers...Where did the money come from to buy the land? Who gets the money for any timber or coal?

seems like this was a quick way for a select few to make some fast money. how much of the citys belongings in y-hollow did crl give to personal friends without the city getting nothing for it. i hope it comes home to haunt both of them for a long time. one can only hope this dosent break the city like the old timers center was broke. we need to demand to know how the city money is being spent and we need to see all records. the city council needs to take action now and if they dont then we need a new city council as well as a new mayor. If all this is true she should resign immediatley. We the citizens of manchester demand answers now and no more bullshit carmen. we should call a special city council meeting to see how many council members were in on this schirade
