The Festival Committee needs to be replaced. Old stagnant ideas, lack luster promotion, and too few high quality vendors have nearly ruined the festival atmosphere.

I agree but they did have high quality bands each night Thursday thru Saturday on the main stage and in the tent. They were all unbelievably good. The best music for the entire festival that they ever had but they still need a lot of upgrades on the booths, vendors, games and food, I think.

Yes, the music talent was fine and I have no complaints with their skills and abilities but how about having a major headliner act, the festival committee needs to be replaced with new members with a better vision that will grow the festival to make it a larger regional festival

For example: City/County full sponsorship of a major headliner act that can draw new visitors to enjoy the show and other festivities on Saturday.

Utilize the Community Center at Greenbriar for the celebration of Appalachian arts/crafts exhibitions such as baskets, candles, quilts, etc.

Utilize the Rawlings Stinson Park fo outdoor recreation to include various tournaments such as horseshoes, corn hole, etc.

Utilize the Recreation Center at Beech Creek to have 3on3 basketball tournament for youth boys/girls and adult teams.

Utilize the Bert T. Combs Lake for youth fishing tournament, understanding that the city/county, fish & wildlife agency supports a re-stocking of the lake for 3 consecutive years with smallmouth bass and crappie.

Utilize the Ramsey Ball Park for outdoor musicians from the area on Friday night and throughour the day on saturday leading up to the headliner. Have both traditional bluegrass and gospel on Sunday.

Utilize the CCMS parking lot for motorcyle showcase. Utilize the CCHS parking lot classic auto showcase.

Promote and support a 5K walk/run event from EKU Manchester to Manchester Elementary.

Develop a Clay County Days Queen Pagent program that qualifies the contestants to earn scholarship money and to qualify for Miss Kentucky.

Do not use downtown! We need the traffic to flow throughout town to make it easier for each person to visit the many venues that are available all across our beloved community.

We can do better! We need leadership! We need a new committee!

I suggest multiple events throughout the community with parking within close proximity for festival attendees. Make it fun and enjoyable and not an ordeal to attend. We can do better!

I was there.. Good music. Vendors were same old same old things..Traffic is a joke. Need to set it up in sections in different areas. Music was the best thing going on..One drunk was taken as soon as he arrived but others staggered all over you all night and were not arrested.

Beer tent should not have been open at CCDays..They spend enough on that all week .Sell it then arrest them for drinking a cold one..There is something wrong with this setup...We need someone with an imagination on board to plan CC Days..HELP!!!!!!

I agree and also feel that the music was very good and the best part of the festival and if they would put as much time in planning the other phases of the festival as they do their entertainment it would be much better.

Actually, one persons over each thing on the committee one over entertainment one over booths. An so forth it's not as easy as what people think. An id suggest for all you damn check drawers... To go to a meeting they start planning the DAY after its over for next year am its not easy to come up with money for entertainment. You work your fingers to the bone.... Each year it needs to get better I totally agree. They do need fresh ideas.... From diff prospectives.

I concur that it takes effort and ideas but we need new members on the committee, fresh ideas, and accountability. The result expected should be a continuously improved festival experience and a larger regional draw that advances our community forward.

My vote is for Stan! Add trolleys or shuttle buses from each area and the entire community would be included, not just the downtown vendors/business. This would also add input from different areas, not just the same ole committee members.

Manchester so small you sneeze and you will miss it. I know lots of you got big dreams, high hopes and what ever else turns you on talking about it but fact is town just to small to have much.If they make it a whole county thing they come out a lot better off. You got to many low lifes around here anymore to have much, smartazz shows there ignorance, lazy people to sorry to want anything better and to much corruption. Every year since it became supposely clay county days it same vedors, same old croonies, same old skags and same old people running it. I went when it was not called clay county days, then a few times after the change and thats when i saw it had become nothing more then a flea market for the same old bunch. Only difference between it and flea land is the music and skaggy people hanging around. Sorry if you feel offended but truth hurts when you have to face it sometimes.

u should thank your lucky stars that the "officials" stood up from kissen each others asses long enough to even have clay county days...maybe the next time the feds catch another bus load of them for spending your tax dollars on whores and personal pavement, they will use all that money towards clay county days instead of a county full of street signs..hilarious.
