Learn the system a little better please before you comment UK and UL are the only hospitals in Kentucky that have trauma teams in Ky that can take care of stuff like this so when trauma comes in and there is an injury they have no choice.

We all learned the system by being caught up in it and seeing it everyday. Clay County went from flying out 1 or 2 people a month to flying out 10 people a day. Instead of paying 5,000 dollars for an ambulance ride, people start getting bills for 25,000 dollars to ride a helicopter. A helicopter ride to London that takes 15 minutes, load and unload and landing is no better than an ambulance ride that takes 15 minutes. Its only good for some peoples wallets. That helicopter sets next to an apartment complex, beside a nursing home, next door to a shopping center, across the road from a school, beside the parkway, in between 2 mountains and 2 rivers. Who the hell makes plans for these things? And how can anybody say that this has nothing to do with money? People are dead in clay county because of this, because of money. And then the county just helps itself to another helicopter and puts 3 more bodies in it. I heard the helicopter even has the same number as the old one. Somebody explain the "system" to me and then I want somebody to tell me how long it will be before another helicopter crashes. The first one didn't even last a year.
