I thought the Napiers were supposed to have the kids on top of the world this year. looks like another long season as a Tiger fan. It's sad the way our team has went down. With D1 players I cant believe we still can't win.
Oh yea

Being that their first game isn't until the 17th....judge much?

Give them a chance before you judge. They play on the 17th and to criticize them now shows your ignorance. Those young men and one lady have worked their behinds off over the summer while you were sitting under the a/c, they were sweating like pigs in the heat of the day. They never quit and it is a crying shame that you are willing to count them out before they get a chance to prove themselves. I haven't watched them but I will on the 17th. Every player out there gives 110%, sweat and sometimes blood. They get injured, they get bruises and cuts but they don't quit and they deserve to be respected by very Clay Countian. Don't criticize those players just because you have a grudge against the Napiers. You got a problem with the Napiers, take it up with them and leave the team out of your personal attacks. We shall see who the starting line up is and we shall see if this year will be about who you know or about the best playing to win. Yeah I have heard the starting line up for the JV isn't the best the team has but we shall see who plays and who sits on the side lines. If what I heard is true then I'll be the first to say, it's the same old bull and not about winning. I think the freshmen can contribute a lot to this team and in all honesty some of the sophmores, juniors and seniors should feel the heat on their britches because those freshman are gunning for their positions. I heard Wes Wolfe will be in the starting line up on Varsity. He is a freshman and we all know what he can do. I heard Lester is back and eager to play so he will be looking for a starting position. You got freshman players like Nick Alvarez, Tyler Lytle, Travis Williams, Floppy Sizemore and the Goins boy who are all capable of playing Varsity. I'm looking forward to this season, I expect to be on the winning side this year. With young and experienced talent like we got and the experienced coaching staff, there's no reason to expect anything but a winning season.

So let me get this straight. The JV team has does not have the best players on the field from what you have heard? Isn't Evan the head coach of the team, not just the varsity? He should be the one making the final call if it's not being made on putting the best talent on the field whether it be JV or freshman. If Napier is letting it happen on the JV than what makes you think it will be any different on the varsity? I hope the team does good this year but my feelings are until the Napiers are gone the program will always be sub par no matter how much talent is on the field.

I hope you are wrong but it always hurts to lose the opener and if KY loeses to UL Joker might as well pack his bags if he hasn't already.

Who was our offensive coordinator ? Our play calling was terrible! Carr can't run over 11 people every time.

Garrard picked up the late 1st down in the 4th quarter running on UK commits side of the ball. Thought he was dominate. I barely could tolerate Jake and Jim on the radio. Damn if they aren't the 2 sorriest play by play men in the state they are close.

I hate to say this but I dont think the basketball team will go any where either,to many ball hogs & alot of the boys sitting in there chairs waiting on the turn to get out on the floor, but for some reason there bubble gets busted, its ok to use the boys durning practice time but not in the game & I know it breaks there hearts to show up everysingle time there is practice just to get let down during a game, plus they hear the same thing over & over,,next game you will be in son turst me & he pats them or put his arm around there shoulder just to lie to them once again...but sure enough he can count on his chairs warmers to be there during practice time or they will have to run there guts out,If they are not good enough in his eyes to get out on the floor to give them that try,he should have enough respect to say maybe next yr..

Didnt they stop us on 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th and goal? Thank God for that fumble or the score couldve been worse. We have to win this year because we lose all our guys except Carr.

Garrard was one of the few teams on our schedule that we actually had a shot at beating.

I was at the game Friday, and I thought the team looked better than it ever did last year. The interception and runback for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter was what broke our backs.

The team showed grit and played hard on every down. The play calling was much better without Wayne Napier doing it.

Defensively, the middie was pretty well shut down with Jacob Reid and the UK recruit in the middle. Ends and corners need work.

Offensively, the play-calling was well done, although I don't like to see so many shotgun snaps at the high school level. More snaps under center in short yardage off-tackle dives would not risk tackles behind the line.

I was rather pleased with our showing at Garrard, and I believe the Tigers will have a winning season. Give em a chance.

I agree with you on the Tigers looking better than last year Friday at Garrard Co. but if you think Wayne wasnt behind the play calling you are off your rocker. Wayne was somewhere with a headset talk to Jeff Woods telling him what to run.
Defensively, they was ok, 17 from Garrard Co. bailed us out on numerous occasions with his drops, and 26 on the returns let us back in it when he miss fielded the punt late.
Offensively, the play calling was ok at best, where was Dezarn on offense? And shotgun on 1st and goal with our line come on.
