This is already happening. Just look at the non denominational mega churches.<quoted text>
No, you got your donkey handed to you. Don't feel bad tho, go on any discussion board and it's always the same. You have your intelligent posts then you have your bad grammar post screaming they didn't come from no damn monkey. Religion is dead, some of you just haven't gotten the memo yet. It wouldn't matter if Jesus was nailed to a boomerang, he still isn't coming back because he was never here.
Here's my prediction, 50-75 years from now all the different Christian religions will have to join together because your numbers will be to low to have different denominations. People just aren't buying into the BS anymore and they are tired of giving away their money for nothing in return.

Yours must be the face that broke my 3 knuckles.
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Psychiatry in Sommerset Kentucky
has issued an all points bulletin for one of it's absconded permanent residents known as kejgkejgqggggbeqr.
Said inmate was tutored by DR. Timothy Leary in the ingestion of mind altering drugs.
Although not cosidered a danger to society , he is considered a danger to himself.
His feeble mind has convinced him that he can predict future events.
He has sent out imaginary memos to the effect that religion is dead.
When questioned by those who have not received the memo ,as to why they have not received it he gives the same reason he gives bill collectors when they ask for payment.
It's in the mail.
Any one knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact us at 866 532 1178.
if you have the opportunity , just throw a net over him ,and put him at curbside on garbage collection day and we will make arrangements to pick him up along with youtr trash

Speak for yourself-my standards are fine.
REAL grown ups have NO problem acknowledging the fact- NONE of us are perfect. Including YOU and ones like yourself.
Don't like it? Too bad.
NO ONE is perfect. NO ONE.

The Scientific study I quoted was performed by a reputable university and those in charge of the study are well qualified to perform said study.
The fact that the results confirm beliefs that you find objectionable in no way detracts from it's validity.
You may not endorse the results, but you have no evidence to negate the validity of said results.
Again I repeat , The study states that nonbelievers find believers to be more trustworthy than nonbelievers.
can you tell me why that is so?
That Christianity's teachings and belief in God has played a prominent role in Western civilizastion's moral and legal code ,in the way we treat the poor and less fortunate ,love for our neighbors ,our education and health system , charitable organizations and form of government is obvious.
Your belief that human nature is not corrupt ,but is instead a mechanism for survival ,is not supported by human behaviour or our moral code.
You say that lying is not against the law unless when lying under oath. OK So you justify lying ,unless you have taken an oath not to lie. " you called it an excuse"
Lying is lying ,regaardless of the ciecumstances. If not legally wrong ,then it is morally wrong.
not respecting your parents is not legally wrong , but it is morally wrong.
Adultery is not legally wrong, but it is morally wrong.
What I intepret your views to mean is that , any behaviour for which there is no civil law is acceptable to you.
I would assume that is the reason why you claim to not ever having done anything for which you need be ashamed.
Respect for your parents , being faithful to your spouse , not lusting after your neighbors wife are some of many of the moral rules that create a stable society and separate us from the animals
Your claim that you live by the rule" Do unto others as ye would have them do unto you" is hypocritical.
Your human nature contradicts the rule by which you claim to lead your life.
You make your own rules , you determine what is and is not acceptable behaviour based on your personal desires.
True that, under the guise of Christianity , abominable actions have taken place. Those abominations have not been based on the teachings of our Lord , Jesus Christ.
If we look at Atheist Governments , they , based on their human nature , have wreaked havoc in many societies.
China , Russia , North Korea , Cambodia etal.
For the sake of enhancing my limited education, Can you name the contributions made by Atheism to western culture?

Hey , thanks , I needed that.
BTW glad your posting showed up.Glad it wasn't lost in topix.
For my benefit ,try and see if you can get lost in Topix.
Then you can start posting under your other monikerspecifically UMMM.
Why did they ban that particular moniker anyway?
Was it because of the double o's?
Obtuse and Obnoxious...
Don't take me seious ,just playing games with your mind.
It's my hobby.
I do ,however , appreciate the info you sent me on that quote business.

There is no doubt in my mind that many out there are wolves in sheeps clothing.
As you know ,Jesus voiced his opinion on that particular issue.
To me , any time that a religious saying or a crucifix is placed on an advertisement , is like waving a red flag in front of a bull.
You need to watch out...That behaviour is not based on the teachings of Christ.
neither are many of the tactics used by some telvangelists.
I do not condone that type of behaviour.
I do not remember railing against those nonbelievers who choose to attend religious services.
Matter of fact ,if memory serves me correctly , I see that as a definite positive.
On the light side.
I finally came across one of those 3 eyed alligators you are so fond of mentioning.
Some believers were picnicking on lake apopka and the gator attacked them .
I finally had to wrestle him down and body slam him.
Upon questioning , he said he was acting on instructions given him by an individual who posts on Topix.
You know anything about that?
I suspect it was Q or the Witch.
Be sure to respond , we need to keep this thread from dying out.

See what I mean about intelligent posts verses those of the religious Jesus junkies? Do What was by far the most respectful/intelligent poster I've seen in a while representing the religious side. You should try and follow their example and maybe someone might take you serious one day.

No.... wrong again, intentionally left out what this whole study is focusing on: 1) Bigotry 2)Prejudice .... Allow me to finish the study in it's entirety > Despite that, the study authors said these feelings toward atheists could be far-reaching.
“With more than half a billion atheists worldwide, this prejudice has the potential to affect a substantial number of people,” Gervais said.

Thanks for the info.
I think the reason given in the study for atheist trusting them is on thin ice.
I can see why so many people fall prey to those who claim to have the Holy Ghost that gave them instructions to pass on to others.
Religious people fall prey to fortune tellers and those who claim to talk to their dead relatives on t.v. shows. They trust because of their indoctination not because of any critical thinking skills.
People no matter religious or atheist must earn the trust of others. No sky daddy needed. Read the stories of pastors screwing the flock and literally screwing some trusting members wife or kid.
I don't think the statement below is true in most cases.
"Atheists also tend to trust religious people more than they trust other atheists.
That’s because people trust “those who fear supernatural punishment,”

Hey knucklehead Lodi, My posting was addressed to your other moniker Spaceship earth. When you responded you forgot to change monikers and responded under your other moniker,LODI.
So I got you down for 3 SE LODI and IDK.
Moreover , you may not be Witchinthewoods , you are probably the broom she rides on LOL
Here is copy of my posting
Hey nipplenose , it seems your spaceship earth is rotating contrary to it's axis , causing you a mental malfunction.
Your unilluminating response was in no way related to the subject at hand,,
But that is what I expected....
Whenever one is unwilling or unable to give a proper response , it is best to fake it in the hope that no one will notice.
Enjoy April the 1st...... LOL

Your constant change of monikers have addled your brain to the extent you ears can not read clearly that which is written.

Thanks for sharing.
I found this sentence particularly amusing.
"a recent poll that found that only 45 percent of Americans who responded would vote for an atheist presidential candidate."
Only? ONLY? Let's look at this in a positive way.
ALMOST HALF of the Americans who responded WOULD VOTE FOR AN ATHEIST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE!
Holy $hit! I mean REALLY!
I'm fairly sure that number has never been that high, which means that atheists are becoming more vocal, more understood, and MORE ACCEPTED!
It's possible that I will live long enough to see an atheist pres!
THAT is awesome!
