I've known Kelly for years. She worked as a social worker at the hospital in Corbin until she had her second child. She has been most recently been working as a mental health therapist. She's also been a cheer coach in the past. All of her experience in counseling and social work will serve her well in this new job. She loves children and helping others. She has a huge servant's heart and the school district has found a wonderful person for this position.

Susan was a great choice.. Kelly was picked because they were more Manchester teachers and parents on the commitee... I personally think they should have picked someone with a teaching degree who is trying to get a teachinf job when there is none available.

Susan is a neice to the person in charge of the family resource directors, her name is Judy Smith. She is on the hiring committee and I just wonder if the Title 1 grants would allow this type of hiring. Does anyone know.

Why do you think this job requires grant wrinting, IT DOES NOT. The resource directors do not write grants. The may fill out forms, but no writing of grants.
Actually, resource directors do write the grants for their resource centers. I was the chairperson for my school several times and the director and assistant submitted the grant at the monthly meeting for approval.

The grant was submitted once a year and then had to be approved by the board of education before it was submitted to the KDE for approval.
