MMH - Fight Night

A lot of controversy has over shadowed the Manchester Memorial Hospital security guards according to Topix. Various people have berated, conjured fictitious events, and even slandered several members of those who wear the badge. I am here to set the story straight, because of what I witnessed two weekends ago.

It was late one Saturday night; the ER was backed up with patients and the waiting room was a ticking time bomb. This was not unusual for the hospital on any given weekend. It was business as usual as patients coughed, hacked, and complained over various ailments.

At some point, I had just finished registering for a visit when I heard a scuffle behind me. Two women, both in their mid to late thirties, began to argue. The confrontation stemmed from the pros and cons of Xanax versus Oxycodone.

The academic debate quickly escalated into a brawl. Both women began a flurry of windmill assaults as hair, extensions, and fake nails flew through the air. At some point, one of the combatant's nails pierced a breast implant. Saline began to squirt like a lawn sprinkler from the perforated implant.

Steven "Preacher" Napier, a patient access representative, quickly paged for security. Overhead, "Code White" echoed throughout the hospital! The powder keg had finally ignited, and I had front row seats, located within the epicenter of the free-for-all brawl.

Amidst the chaos unfolding in the waiting room, the burst implant had created a river of saline in the floor. Both women, locked in combat, began to slip and lose their footing due to the slippery environment. Housekeeping quickly began cornering off the fight with caution signs that read "Slippery When Wet."

Children, including toddlers, began running towards the lake of saline. Without hesitation, the children jumped head first onto the slick, watery floor zipping past the women fighting, using the surface as a slip and slide. The children that did not take advantage of the slip and slide attraction, began to conspire to liberate the closed gift shop.

A group of six adolescents grabbed one of the housekeeper's supply carts sitting idle in the waiting room. With three kids on each side of the cart, they began ramming the gift shops outer door in an attempt to gain entry. All the candy, soda, and stuffed animals a kid could ever want was within reach if the door could be breached.

Elsewhere, security scrambled to a bank of surveillance terminals, located deep within a secret bunker beneath the hospital. "What's the situation?" Claude asked Tommy "Seven Star" Sherriff. Tommy had just finished sharping each of the seven points of his badge with a sharpening stone. "I'm not sure, but if we don't get control of this situation soon, those kids are going to get hurt." Tommy replied.

"Where is Potter?" Tommy asked as he looked around looking for the last of the security detail. "I don't know buddy, but he'd better get here quick." Claude replied as he keyed up the mic trying to locate Potter.

"Wait, there he is!" Tommy startled Claude, pointing at the monitor. A shadow emerged from the administrative section, eventually revealing Potter, the only one close enough to possibly quell the riot. "Dear God, this mob will tear him apart Tommy, lets rock!" Claude quickly exited the room.

What happened next I will never forget. With two quick leaps, Potter closed in on the adolescent gang, throwing out a flash bang that exploded in mid air. Candy mints burst from the explosive, non-lethal grenade, distracting the slip and slide crew and the six teenagers manning the supply cart ram.

One of the women rose from the ground and pulled out a knife. Before she could slice Potter, a gold shimmering star pinned her arm to the wall. Potter glanced over and saw Tommy "Seven Star" giving him the thumbs up. "Stick around!" Tommy said to the pinned assailant.

As quick as it began, it was over. Security had saved the day once again. So to those nay sayers, now you know! Security is here to stay.

I heard John boy and I think billy from X-ray took care of it all. John boy came all the way from X-ray on his farmer tractor and scooped all the criminals up and dumped them out at the detention center.

Mired by the trespasses of his own mechanations, the one' named Farmer is cursed. His shadow casts only a reflection of the darkness he wields to consume the blind. Beware the end.....he is naught of flesh and blood.

Shadows beyond the realm,
Beckons unto the grim....

Damnation follows,
Legions of sorrows...

Beware the emissary,
Eternal misery...

the one named Farmer is misunderstood and misrepresented. Just like the dark knight he will rise from the ashes when MMH has scene its most darkened day and prove the city of hope that he is their one true hero!!!
