Funny how 214 ignored comments made by Betty about him having a illegal working for him. The real problem here is lack of jobs and that is because of people like Mr. 214 Main who want to make bigger profits by hiring illegals to avoid paying taxes, health benefits, workers comp and so on. If we got rid of all the illegals and put law breakers like 214 Main behind bars there would not be a problem of unemployment. Harboring undocumented aliens is a crime and employing them does not help our economy. Everybody can see the illegals at Walmart sending money to Mexico. Not one cent of their money goes to pay any taxes like mine or your wages do. Mr. 214 Main, if Betty made true statements, you are not trying to help our city, you are part of the problem.

I only wish I was that wealthy to hire anybody Illegal or legal. I don't have a business and the Mayor would know since my building is empty and it will stay that way. The only thing I have on the table is considering a Tea Party. Yes Shew, I would start worrying if I can get that going. Since the State and city gave me this time I might as well be useful around here in other ways. :)

Citizens,,,,please remain vigilent and be aware that the 3% food tax is still lurking in the background although it may not be on the formal agenda at the present time due to the applied pressure and numerous comments from YOU.

All citizens and voters should make sure that each candidate for city council explain their point of view on the food tax when they approach you and ask for your support and vote!

We cannot afford higher food prices! We can do better!

Better be getting some front page ads, signs, radio time to get the word out. Probably useless posting on this site as the only people that post on here are the pretenders! Vote Romney for a job and lower taxes.

Sorry, I have left my computer to do a little campaigning; I will be there Monday for sure. It was certainly an interesting meeting last month for those that wanted to hear the truth. More will be discussed later. I prefer people to be involved and stay in the loop or start getting in the loop rather than allowing people to use this as a tool to do all their work for them. Get involved!!

214 Main, since you're so involved we are expecting to see your name on the ballot for mayor. You are really good at pointing out what the mayor is doing wrong and telling him how to do everything right so let us see what you can do. I doubt we will ever see your name on the ballot. People like you talk a lot and judge but when actions come to play, you sit on your @$$, running your mouth. You are a glory seeker, you want your name in the newspaper and you're not getting it, you're the unidentified person because you are not worth identifying. You live in Jackson County, a one horse town who is in need of guidance and leadership. They can't organize a pep rally correctly so why don't you put your efforts and opinions where you live. You may own a run down empty building but that does not give you any rights to bully our mayor. The reason your building is empty is because you want to get TOO involved with prospective buyers or renters, Isn't it true that you want access to prospective buyers bank accounts and you refuse to show the property unless you get access to view their bank account? Isn't it true that when the beauty salon was in your building, you were there everyday, telling the stylist how to cut hair? Isn't it true that the reason she closed is because you were bad for her business? In truth, the reason your building is empty is because you want it to be. Your personal vendetta against our mayor was fueled because he didn't refer you to get a license to open a liquor store, he used his knowledge of the town to determine, you wouldn't produce as much tax revenue as the current holders of those license. It was a business decision and one that was best for Manchester, it was not personal.

Looks like the city crooks are ganging up on 214 Main. If we could only get the crooks to work as a team on the important things such as bringing jobs to Manchester, they would be a unbeatable team. For the life of me, I can't recall a good thing the current mayor has done for this city. Some might say he got the wet vote but I beg to differ with those people, fact is the voters got the wet vote. It's suprising what we can do when we work as a team. The mayor and his committee has done nothing so it's time to give somebody else a change. Who will be man or woman enough to challenge George and his committee? I think Dorthy or Penny deserve a shot at the throne.

Do you know what is better than ignorance? The people who follow the ignorant. I get a kick out of that.

I would prefer not to go to the council meetings since I do have work to do around here, but the problem is there is a distorted view as to what your Mayor believes his duty is. I do agree that part of his job is to protect it's citizens and having police to do that. I don't believe in him buying huge gas guzzling trucks he took upon himself to buy them. I am sure if he had to buy an auto for himself it wouldn't be something that would enslave him to feed that animal, he would get rid of it because I am sure he is like anybody in Manchester who wants to save money so that he can do other things that he wants to do, for that gives all of us a sense of freedom. Yet because he doesn't buy the gas for those trucks, he doesn't care and please don't tell me that you got a good deal on them because if you do the math, it still doesn't justify those monsters. I only bring my issue because it really goes along with what he did in front of the Council, he mislead them with the tax being already implemented in London which was not true. So I bring other issues to let people know there is a pattern that he decided to take, he took that road and nobody forced him to take it. That's the problem which most can't seem to grasp, the days of misleading the citizens are all in jail now and we want our government not just better, we want it back!
