Christianity: The belief that some cosmic Jewish Zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force form your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

Makes perfect sense.

Couldn't have described it better myself. Parents around here, raising their kids to believe in fairy tales, messed up!

Wow. Honestly, if you're going to bash something, you should probably do so INTELLIGENTLY. I can tell you're not completely stupid, so maybe you should work on not exaggerating to the point where you seem like an elitist jerk off.

Well If you had never heard of religion, or Jesus, or the bible, and you had read it all, not thinking it was meant to be true, but reading it as just another book, You would probably describe it the way he did if asked to give a synopsis.

How about this:

Atheism- The belief that we all just popped out of nothing. That there was a big black abyss and then BANG, everything just appeared. No reason, no explanation, no evidence, just a big assumption. Then, monkeys turned into humans (Though for some reason they suddenly stopped.)

Wow, your idea sure makes a lot of sense. NOT!

I'm not going to try to change your opinion. I believe the more a person is pushed to change their beliefs, the more resistant they are to change. I will give you my opinion. I love God. I believe Jesus died so I can go to Heaven when I die (and we will all die eventually). I believe 100% in God. I believe the Bible but I do not base my beliefs completely on the Bible. I base my beliefs on the Bible and on what I have seen and experienced in life. The birth of a child is miraculous and made me believe even more in God just by experiencing this. I have seen people given up to die and recover without a medical explanation as to why they are still alive. The doctor even said it was by the grace of God and all of our praying that they lived. I've seen people with terminal cancer not going through any chemo or radiation treatments go for an xray or a scan and the cancer is completely gone from their body. They attributed this to God and all the praying their friends and family had done for them. I have also seen two people pronounced dead, no pulse, not breathing, flat line on the monitor, no blood pressure, and their color was blue, and the medical team had been stopped working on them for about 2 minutes, all of a sudden brought back to life. In both instances there was praying going on for that person at the exact time they came back. I've been with people when they have died. Some report seeing Heaven and are so happy and peaceful. The room will even have a calmness and peace to it. Others who were not saved have screamed in complete terror. Asking what hell looks like and wanting to know who that is coming to get them. They scream that they are on fire and beg for you to help them they feel like they are burning. And before anyone says anything, the people I am talking about are the people that are coherent and able to talk and communicate with you before they die. Alot of people are not able to communicate before they die. This is just what I have seen in people that were able to talk before their death. This is just a few example of things I have experienced in my life that makes me know for certain that there is a God. Like I said I'm not going to try to change your beliefs or criticize what you say. I just wanted to give my opinion and tell some of the things that I have experienced and maybe this will help someone, somewhere to make up their mind. Take care and God Bless!!!!!

Your response makes no sense. You say that atheist haven't found out how things came to be Yet, but let me ask you this. Where you there when the universe was created? Of course you wasn't, noone was except God, and therefore there is no way that an atheist can prove he is correct. You believe that one day, for no reason, no implication, something suddenly appeared. That explanation makes no sense. The whole theory behind atheism, and evolution for that matter, makes absolutely no sense. Also, you say that we only choose to be Christians because we were raised that way or because its easy. In reality, we choose to be Christian because we have faith, we choose to believe in God because it is obvious to us that we (humankind) are not an accident. I don't know why you'd choose to be an atheist, but I pray to God that he changes your heart. Also, in case you haven't been in America for the last decade or so, Christianity is contantly under attack by people such as yourself. We're not Christians because its easy (because in today's world it certainly isn't) we're Christians because we believe, we have faith.

Well I don't believe you were there either. All you do is read and trust in some book produced from some ancient scrolls they found underwater. you don't know that it's real. I don't believe you have faith that your religion is right either.

I do not base my belief completely on the Bible. I believe in thte Bible and also what I have seen happen. Read my post above and try to explain the things I have seen happen. There is no way to explain it except that there is a God and a Heaven and a hell.

lol Rhonda...
Anyway, I do have my faith. And not only that but personal proof, just as inmyopinion was saying. Just some things, you can't deny. I've had interactions with the Lord, I've had things that I've asked God, given to me. I've been healed, and nobody on this earth could have done it. But for someone that doesn't honestly know God, then they're not likely to have any proof. Because instead of searching spiritually, they look physically. Once you open up to seeking him spiritually, you'll get your physical proof also. I can't tell anybody how to get there or how to do it, but God knows our true intentions. And hopefully some of you out there will start searching for God like you should. You go into something with this "Watch this be for nothing" attitude, then most likely that's what it's gonna be. Maybe that's why alot of people these days have such a hard time finding God. Afterall, Love has been waxing cold, and marriages are going down the drain alot more these days. And I have a feeling alot of them went into it with that same attitude, or for greed or selfishness. Men getting more wise in technology, forgetting about God. No matter how advanced we get, that's still not going to give us the ultimate happiness and peace we are all looking for, because of our hearts. Our spiritual hearts. But I don't expect an athiest to understand a word I just said. Just giving my thoughts :-) Attack away!!!
