Food stamps are provided to use in conjuction with what you earn to help buy food. It's not the "government" aka tax payers job to feed you and your family while you sit on your hump and do nothing, unless your disabled or elderly! If you don't work, I suggest getting a job or go hungry, that's the only option the rest of us have!

people that are disable should get help.but people who draws SSI and still work under the table should be cut because there is many little children going hungry because of sorry parents who trade their stamps for dope they shouldnt sacrifice children for drugs feed the children and take the stamps away from people on drugs they should drug test everyone who gets them and go and check to see if they have the groceries for the amount of stamps they get

If you are disabled and you have worked you can't get food stamps. If you have worked you get medicare that you have to pay for and then 20% if you have never worked you get a free medical card and I think you pay $1. for each dr visit and it dont' cost anything. I know alot of people use their food stamps and the ones who abuse them are making it hard for the ones who need them, but something needs to be done. Maybe the ones who are abusing food stamps will be able to help feed their granny and or their children.

Finally, good news!! This has been a long time coming and I am so thankful for it. This should have been done years ago. And stiffer guidelines should have been put into place when using food stamps! Absolutely no sweets should have been allowed to be purchased! You have got the many, and I do mean many, good people of Clay County to thank for this! And thank them you must, for being cart load after cart load of soda month after month! I don't know of the people I reported and took pictures of!!! Love it!!!!
9 out of 10 households were abusing this privilege providing by working folks like myself! I can't be happier it's coming to an end! Work and earn your money for your food. You don't work you don't eat! That's the way it is at my house! You don't deserve $300 worth of soda on my dime or anyone else's. And before you each start to moan and bitch about the kids, well you each should have thought about that month after month YOU not ME were ABUSING this privilege!!!
Thank Goodness welfare is next in line!!!

Not true. That was not what Mitt Romney said when he made the "47 percent" comment. He was referring to the 47 percent of Americans who do not make enough money to have to pay Federal income tax.

The situation shown on this graphic is what is causing our economic problems:

http://www.faculty.fairfield.edu/faculty/hodg...

Simple of it: A very very few very very very super rich people control so much of the wealth now that there is not enough left in the hands of the great mass of the people for the economy to function.

We are not going to get back to a working economy until steeply progressive and VERY HIGH taxes are imposed on the very wealthy and government redistributes the wealth by spending it on infrastructure, education, health care, and other things that benefit the great mass of the people. That is how it was from the end of World War 2 until the 1980s - the time when the greatest number of Americans had the highest (and greatest increase in) their living standards.

Now, you know, folks, I have to tell you, I know this is gonna appeal to a lot of people. The people of this country, they ain't working anymore. They won't work. They're being paid not to. They're eating. They're watching TV. They're using their phones. They're driving around. Why work?" But there are businesses open that need people to work, and Americans won't do it. It's not that there are jobs Americans won't do anymore. It's that Americans just don't want to work. The entitlement society's too big. We had the A hundred one million adults in this country get federal assistance of some kind.[I don't have any sisters]
