Who got the teaching jobs that was posted on the KDE website? They were 2 for Oneida, 1 for Burning Springs, and 1 for Big Creek. I did hear a teacher from Manchester got one at Oneida.

Word is he was forced to resign because of an affair with a married teacher and some parents!

Who voted for the state and county leadership of the school district? Those elected are responsible for making the decisions about the future of your kids. Seems that a lot have been a part of this good old boy system for years? I just ask that the next time the elections come around, vote for the best candidate for our kids, not the one with the money, or the one who can do you a favor, or that might help one of your family members get a job. A high percentage of kids graduating from schools today and in the past have struggled to properly read and write, and in today’s society, a poor education will get you no were. A lot of the teachers don't care; it’s just a job, but I do believe there is a higher percentage of teachers who are great at their job and deserve a lot of praise, but it only takes one underperforming teacher to hurt the education of many.

I believe all mandated tests required by the state should be administered to the students by individuals outside each school district to ensure tax payers money is being spent correctly, and teachers are performing up to the standards. When a school in the district has a large percentage of students with low scores the tax payers would know what schools and teachers are not performing up to the required standards. This would benefit all students in the county.
