One never knows just what kind of soul our father places in the embryo of a baby when it is conceived. He knows us before we are borned and he has choosen in the past souls he knew he could depend on an placed them in the unborned. Just think one of the millions of aborted babies that has been murdered could have held the knowledge to cure for cancer, how to make a new fuel supply, stops aids, or just be a great leader and they were aborted, that is so sad. But you all know man has weakness and seems at times to just look for ways to destroy themselfs. Just look at alll the drug problems around the country today, gangs killing whole families, parents killing there own children, you name it man will do it. In ecclesiastes you will read god says they nothing new under the sun man will not devise to do that is evil that says it all to me.

God doesn't start a life, a man and a woman do.
You should be able to erase mistakes.
Medicare feels this way as well since they will pay full coverage for a abortion.

For me, I wouldn't choose abortion but, There are situations where a pregnancy can cause complications for the mother and its either end the pregnancy or the mother will die. If it was your daughter, would you rather let her die than to end the pregnancy, just so you can say... well she died but at least she didn't have an abortion. There are other things that sometimes women consider as well, rape, incest etc.. Thank God, I have never been in any of these situations because for me I wouldn't choose abortion, but I will not throw stones at someone who has with out knowing her situation and her reasons behind it.

i competely agree with honest opinion..there are certain situations where sometimes its better to just let it go than to risk your life and the child is going to pass anyway...i am 99% against abortion..i would never do it without there being a reason for it..not because whoops i got pregnant...you shouldnt judge people when you dont know the story ...or are in their shoes..

Unless it is eminent life or death, then an abortion should never be allowed to happen. I like the way Virginia is trying to set up abortion clinics to the exact same standards as a regular hospital or clinic. After all, they claim to be providing a "necessary" medical service, right??? Anyways, after they passed that law, the number of abortion clinics in the state still in business dropped to just TWO!!!!

What about rape or incest? Those would be two good arguments. However, abortion should never be used as a form of birth control.

So punish the unborn child because of crappy circumstances. A lot of people want to adopt.
Why should the mother be punished for circumstances beyond her control?

How is that Punishment? Pregnancy is not a terminal illness.
no pregnancy isn't a terminal illness, but pregnancy can put tremendous emotional and physical stress on a woman's body. there are tons of complications that can come along with pregnancy. some that are even life threatening. further more it's not fair to ask a woman who is a victim of a horrific crime to carry around a constant reminder of that event for nine months.

I Agree!! Some women may be strong enough to carry a baby concieved in incest or rape to term, but alot are not. The psychological effects can be devestating. With incest, there is a higher chance that the baby will be born with birth defects and retardation depending on how closly related the victim is to the perpatrator. It is hard enough for a woman to regain mental stability and get her life back together after rape. Factoring in a pregnancy adds a whole other dynamic to the situation. Women need to remember, if they have been raped, go to the emergency room immediatly, do not shower or change clothes, this preserves evidence to help convict the rapist. Also, you can be given medications to stop pregnany, such as the morning after pill. These medications DO NOT cause abortion, if you are already pregnant they will NOT cause you to abort. They effect the release of the egg so that fertilization does not occur. If women seek immediate help after rape, chances are a pregnancy can be prevented, then the discussion of abortion after rape won't even be needed because pregnacy won't take place. If you know someone that has been raped, urge her to seek treatment, even if the rape did not occur recently.

I am impressed with the responses on this topic. I totally agree with the people who stated clear concise answers. The pshycological and emotional torment to carry a child full term that would be the product of rape would be too much to handle. Not to mention, God forbid the child find out that they were conceived from a horriffic crime. It is not my job to judge a womans personal choice to terminate a pregnancy due to those circumstances. God knows what is truly in her heart. Let him be her judge. Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. I have a cousin that had three abortions because she was too sorry to take a bc pill and her man was too lazy to wrap it up. They admitted this too!! Idiots!! I have not spoke to her in 6 years because of her nonchalant attitude. It makes me sick.
