Change is not always a bad thing. We could certainly use some fresh, vibrant leadership at the BoE.

Raises are often deserved and usually much needed, but so many people today don't even have work, and rarely if ever do they get a COLA increment, which most state affiliated workers obtain every year or every other year.

I suggest that classified employees develop a presentation and choose an effective leader to represent their cause to the BoE at their next meeting and ask them to review current job classifications and salary schedules.

Happy employees are healthier, more satisfied with their jobs, and are retained at higher rates that disgruntled workers.

And Marie Antoinette should have told everyone to form a committee.

Lets be honest she voted for that raise because she knew that she was retiring and your top years earning will sure give you a whole lot more to draw when you do retire. Everyone had their little complaints about DA, but lets get real he was a heck of a lot better then this last super!

I canít wait to see what this bunch of topics cry sacks will say when this administration hires the new superintendant at a higher salary than our old Super was getting, we are obligated to pay our superintendent in the same range as our neighboring counties. Who in Gods name would take this job for a salary way beneath their area counterparts.

Also you do realize this job is on you 24 / 7, they'll be crucified daily on topix no matter what they do, somebody will always be in their face wanting a job or a favor. they'll inherit several sorry teachers hired by the old politically motivated regime (DA), that they can't do one thing about because of tenure, you can't just fire tachers for no reason. I don't know what it pays but it's not enough.

Stop being a hater.

If you are going to pay comparable pay to surrounding counties then it should be done for all employees not just the top dog. All certified and classified staff are underpaid in clay co compared to surrounding counties.
