I am sorry, but Samantha Roark and Carrie Underwood are not even in the same ballpark. Carrie Underwood is amazing and has an unbelievable voice. Samantha is a good singer, but she is not even close to as good as Carrie Underwood is. I almost choked from laughing so hard when I read this.
She is as good as anyone in Nashville now including Carrie Underwood.

She is a good singer. But she is nowhere the singer Carrie Underwood is. And Carrie Underwood is absolutely gorgeous. Samantha, not so much.

Tyler Wolfe said on his radio program today that he had the lattest Nashville New Music Weekly reports and Samantha Roark was number 9 on the Main Country chart and number 2 on the Nashville Indy chart and had been played 19,000 times and he was positive that she will hit number 1 on both charts. That is great news for her and Clay Co and she is going to be a big country music star soon !!!! Thanks Samantha Roark for putting Clay County on the map in a positive way and can't wait to see and hear you sing on TV.

I'm Lori Clevenger, and I wrote Sound of a Woman. It is indeed the same song, and I'm very proud of Sam's version of it. It was my first professional cut as a writer after 30 years of pitching songs and singing open mike nights in Nashville. She did a great job on it and took it farther than I ever expected it to go. Thanks Sam!

i also need to clarify a few points made earlier. I did write the song alone, and first copyrighted it in 1992. i met Bob Andrew and Ann Jacobs a year or so later. we collaborated on other songs, and when we were choosing songs to pitch, i threw in Sound of a Woman and we re-copyrighted under all our names. Bob and Ann threw in some of their songs as well. it isn't that unusual for co-writers to do that. Lennon and McCartney did it as well. it was a business arrangement. i still have my original copyright papers, and my original demo which was done the first time the song was published in 1992 by Big Lake Music Group.
also, Bob Berg is the publisher of the song. he is not Bob Andrew.

Sam did a wonderful job on her first professional CD produced in Nashville by Joe Sun and her first and only released single " The Sound Of A Woman Saying Goodbye " , a fantastic song written by Lori Clevenger had great success, especially with Nashville's highly regarded New Music Weekly Magazine, where it went to no. 2 on their Indie Chart and No. 9 on their Top 30 Main Country Chart. She plans on releasing the single " Check Out Girk " from her " Check Out Girl" album sometime this month. She also has a professional band now and have shows lined up at several different venues. Sam and her band Sabocat will be on the air live with Faron Sparkman on KY's strongest FM station that reaches several states WSGS FM 101.1 and also on their web site at 9:30 AM Tuesday May 17. This will be Sam's 3rd interview with one of the very best in the radio industry, Faron Sparkman. Also for all her local fans she and her band will be performing at the city park in Manchester May 21 to honor our Veterans and also latter that day at downtown Manchester for the Chamber of Commerce Block Party. Also their first big show ,and Lori we hope you can come, will be at Newport KY Saturday May 28 to open up the outdoor festivities at the popular Duck Creek Country Club.

I also forgot to mention you can listen to excerpts of all Sam's songs from her " Check Out Girl " CD or purchase at CD Baby, I Tunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and many other online music stores. CD Baby has her CD listed as one of their expert picks and top CD's in the Contemporary and Honky Tonk Country Music genere.

Hey Proof what in the world are you talking about ? Haven't you seen her charts. It was in the local paper 2 or 3 times and on clayconews many times. They give credit where credit is due. Listen to Hazard radio and Cornbread on Manchester country radio who play her music everyday and have nothing but high praise for her. Just google her name and see all they got to say about her. One man in England ( The Mad Priest )who has a internet blog and sells CD's for Amazon even said she was the best young female country singer that he has heard in many many years and he's heard them all and he said she would be a star over here and over there.
