I have known the ways of Pastor Billy Ball for several years now, and I do believe that He is a man called of God to preach. He is probably one of the best out there. I do believe that several of the men, women and sad to say even the children carry an attitude that is completely not of God. When someone does you wrong or when you disagree with someone, to start name calling, is childishness. I would back Bro. Ball in what he does more often if the attitude of him and his people was love. It hurts my heart to see someone that could make a difference in this world, only hurt the hurting and cause the lost to run away from the truth. I believe He could reach hundreds of thousands of people for Christ, if the attitude He showed was love for the sinner, and help for the hurting. The sad thing is, he has a church full of hurting and angry people, and you can see it in their responses. I believe that He and his people are a 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 type people....
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Without Charity they become as sounding brass or a tinkling symbol & without Charity all that they do that is good, profiteth nothing....
Maybe they should take these verses and apply them to their lives, what in the world could they do for Christ....
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
And just for those of you that are interested the Strong's Concordance defines Charity as..
Definition of Charity according to 1 Cor.13
brotherly love, affection, good will, love, benevolence

I'm with you Charity. I am a FEMALE pstor (that will get up some folks' dander.) Jesus told us that the world would know us by our love and there is definitely no love shown in this incident from EITHER side. I'm glad I am not a baptist

I LOVE a debate!!! Stupid - your name is fits you perfectly - You are stupid! Jesus teaches nothing or says nothing in scripture about women not preaching. And to you, SOUND DOCTRINE - it is obvious that you have had no in depth study of scripture or you would not make such a statement. I love what Joyce Meyer has to say: "One of the reasons I am here preaching today is because God had a "man" in mind, but he ignored God's call.
Oh, yes, it is okay for us to wash your clothes, cook your meals, have your babies, teach sunday school (which is preaching) and pray for you, but GOD FORBID (which he doesn't) women should take a stand for Jesus. Get a grip guys - you are just afraid that we may have something to say that has more depth and meaning than you do.
Oh-h-h-h how I love a parade!

Sound Doctrine. I will be praying for you. I didn't realize that preaching was in the same category as illegal drugs. You need to do a more in depth study of scripture instead of believing everything you hear. You have a pharasitical spirit controlling you and you need deliverance. I guess you have forgotten that the first person Jesus appeared to after the resurrection was a woman. In the great commission, we are called to spread the gospel to all men. If that is the case and it is to be told to just men - then women have no chance of being saved - I hope your mother knows that - she will be surprised to hear that only "men" can be saved.( you are a man, aren't you - and a very insecure one - else why would you be so angry. I am called to tell people about Jesus - whether standing in a pulpit or on a street corner or having dinner with the neighbors - preaching is preaching. Using your logic - the scriptures do not say that Jesus didn't call women to preach nor did He ever indicate in any of his teachings such nonsense. Get a grip and get saved - I see no love or respect in your tone and for that my heart grieves for you. Jesus said that the world would know Christians by their love and I am quite concerned about yours, for all I see is hate an animosity (you know what that means - right?) and love and hate for any of God's creatures is wrong. I would never consider being in a baptist church or any other church that degrades women or anyone else for that matter. God created Eve after Adam because He was saving the best for last. AND she was created from his side not from under his feet. They are partners not "boss man and slave." And last but not least - did you know that God is not male?
Peace to you, my friend, you need it.
