Webster was born in the United States,but it is not known if he holds dual citizenship, something that might have made it easier for him to cross the border with his record of nine sex offences, whereas even an ancient drunk-driving conviction can make crossings difficult, if not impossible. Even if Canada's registry were open to public scrutiny, Webster's name wouldn't be on it for his 1994 convictions because the registry is not retroactive. In other words, sex predators who predate the 2004 sex-offenders' registry aren't on the list. He is formerly of Prince Edward Island, where he was a professor of political science at the University of P.E.I., and was convicted in 1994 of five counts of indecently assaulting three boys, ages 9, 10 and 11, two counts of assault and two counts of gross indecency and was sentenced to nine years in federal penitentiary. He was released on day parole in 1998 on condition that he stay away from young males unless accompanied by a responsible adult authorized by his parole officer He served more than five years of his sentence and moved to Moncton at some point after that. Few people in Moncton knew of his background, prompting some to express anger that police didn't announce his presence in the city. His acquaintances in Moncton describe him as highly intelligent, yet somehow off-putting and as making frequent trips to the U.S.

He is now out on bail (as of Dec. 15th), he went to pre-trial on the 18th and the case has again on the docket in Manchester CT court for January 11th, 1009. Reports say the judge in the beginning ordered him to surrender his passport so he cannot return to Canada??(There is a website you can access to see cases pending/convictions, etc. in the CT court system)

Paul, I'm so sorry for what you went through and hope you have gotten the help and support that you need. Crimes against adults are terrible, but crimes against children are unforgiveable and MUST be stopped.

Again on the docket for June 2009. Still awaiting trial and ingratiating himself to the people in Manchester CT where he is living. His "fiance" from NB is with him. He has fianally been placed on the CT sex offender registry.

I see by the posts gary is up to his old tricks of hiding behind a wowmen, Ihope she doesn't have a son as he befriends women with young boys to gain there trust.I hope i dont have to see him in pei again, I could dispence some real justice &then again there is only one place for this pedofile in a u.s.jail how sweet he could stay the rest of his days getting real justice american style...

Mr Webster is facinga jury trial on Sept22/2009..Endangerment to achild and 4 counts of cheque fraud..oh how the mighty have fallen...he is still a predator of young boys...let's hope for the best....that he finally is dealt with does not continue to victimize...
