Old Town Manassas sets a big boost this week with the grand opening of
La Chapelle. Located at 9329 Main St., the structure has beautiful
Tiffany stained glass windows. The church was shown in the movie "My
Son John" partially filmed in Manassas in late 1952. Old town is
trying hard to bring business and the local people to back to the
area. With is upscale and fine dining services, Manassas is proud to
have them in town.
Mildred and Jorge Bolanos (the owners) also have an "Executive
Manassas Ballroom" with privet parking in the rear of the building. A
great place for wedding receptions and privet events. they will soon
open a wine and tapis room in the bottom level of the church. With A
more modern and trendy feel. They currently serve traditional Mexican
cuisine and classic American dishes

actually i went in the other day, and it was not what i expected. it is not the typical mexican restaurant where they serve tacos and burritos, it is actually different. i enjoyed the place just a little bit they have to work on but i guess it just started

Are you certain of the name change to "The Cockroche" or are you just being sarcastic?

It was sarcasm.

I went to "La Chapelle" last week. The food was delicious and the service was great. I took a look at the ballroom, and I decided to have a party there.

I went to "La Chapelle" last week. I took a look at the partyroom, and I decided to have a ball there....
but, then I said "Hey, why is a French Restraunt serving Mexican grub?...hmmm...aren't they're enough Mexican joints in Manassas?"..
Then I shook my head and laughed as I went out the door.

The best Mexican food we have had in years! This is the real deal! The food was excellent, although a bit on the pricy side but FAR FAR better than anything you can find around here....this is no Mexican Joint! If you appreciate good food and a nice atmosphere..you need to try it!

I am disapointed in hearing that "La Chapelle" wasn't a comeback of the old owners (The Ryders).
It was my favorite place.
I love Mexican and will give the new La Chapelle a try.
Be back soon!

I have a weekly business meeting at LaChapelle and Jorge and Mildred really make it nice. It's just continental breakfast, but they even put out fresh pressed OJ They are a wonderful addition, and highly respected couple, in Old Town, Manassas. I hadn't eaten upstairs until today. I had lunch with a business comrade and for the price of a McDonald's meal we had the most delicious trio of enchiladas. Each had a different sauce and the red rice was a dream! I'm coming back with my husband for dinner so I experience the lobster ravioli.(Yeah, the cuisine isn't just Mexican) I've had people rave to me about the ravioli and since I'm crazy for lobster ravioli,I'm really looking forward to it.

I got sick the minute I walked out of the restaurant. Not only was the food TINY on a TINY plate but after the food settled and I saw the Bill. I was sick for a few days. I also booked a party and the place was closed.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Cancer

You'll be happiest when you're with people who make you feel loved and cherished. You'll bend over backwards to keep them sweet, and will concede arguments and disputes for the sake of peace. Try not to make it peace at any price because that could be setting up problems with people who will then try to take advantage of your good nature. Co-operation is one thing, being a doormat is quite different.
