Any compassionate person familiar with the nature of Covance’s sordid business will be pleased to read about the company’s shrinking profits.

This is a company that imprisons, poisons and kills animals for profit and has been cited and fined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for serious violations of the Animal Welfare Act, including physical and psychological abuse of monkeys and failure to provide adequate pain relief and veterinary care to sick animals.

It is the largest breeder of dogs for use in experimentation, and the biggest importer of monkeys into the U.S. for sale to laboratories in which most will spend their lives imprisoned in barren cages and be driven mad by hellish conditions that violate all of their natural sensibilities.

Covance profits from the abuse and misery of animals. Those who prefer kindness and empathy over greed will smile as Covance struggles.

Sincerely,
Alka Chandna, Ph.D.
