Christian Ridgeway Green Dies In Manassas,Va

Christian Ridgeway Green, age 16 of Manassas, Virginia passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008.

Christian was born November 12, 1991 in Fairfax, Virginia. He was a junior at Osbourn High School, Manassas where he was on the Varsity Baseball Team. He enjoyed Skateboarding, Snowboarding and was an umpire for Little League Baseball.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Justin Green; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Jane Green and his uncle, Antoine Bailey.

Survivors include his mother, Melody Ann Ridgeway of Manassas, Virginia; his father, Robert Lee Green of Manassas, Virginia; one brother, Cullen Green of Manassas, Virginia; his maternal grandparents, Samuel Burnette and Elizabeth Popovich Ridgeway; his paternal grandfather, Robert Bailey; three aunts, Sheryl Jane Green of Front Royal, Virginia, Robin York of North Carolina and PiShonda Jones of New Jersey; one uncle, Scott Ridgeway of North Carolina and two cousins, Valen Foster and Haven York of North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, Virginia with Rev. Rudy Tucker, Jr. officiating. Interment at Good Hope Cemetery, Front Royal, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Christian Ridgeway Green Baseball Scholarship Fund, c/o of Osbourn High School, 9005 Tudor Lane, Manassas, Virginia 20110.

I remember Christian as a little boy riding his bike and playing catch in the court. Always, always, alwasy smiling. We were fortunate to see him again two years ago when we returned to Manassas for a soccer tournament. We will always have fond memories of him. He's with God now. May he rest in Peace. Warren

christian green was killed in a hunting accident.

Christian used to be neighbor when I lived nexted to him about 5 or 6 years ago. I knew him when he was 2 till he was 8 and he was a little brother to me. I watched and played with him al the time we were best buds. I can remeber his laugh and smile. he never wanted to be with out me as I him. He always made me happy. I remeber i taught him how to ride his bike and just all the little things. I remember him saying he wanted to marry me when he got older...:) so cute! He will aways be missed and loved by me and sooo many others. I love wim so much and he will always have a place in my heart. He is in heaven now looking down upon us with that beautiful smile on his face...:)

He went to my school. He was like the 3rd kid to die before the end of October. Since him another kid has committed suicide. Before Christian David hung himself and some girl OD'd in August. Everyone at our school is killing, or accidentally killing, themselves. It's an epidemic. And I don't think they are all ironic or a coinsidence.

What are you talking about? And why would you pray about somebody that is already dead. He's already in Heaven, what more are you asking for?

And you totally contradicted your self with the "blah blah blah" statement. Everyone has been saying the same thing "He was 16, he died, poor thing..lets move on since we're only in high school and are going to see this happen 100 more times before our own death." Your point was the same thing everyone else is saying, except for moving on. Which is what everyone needs to do.
