I discovered today WTOP (http://www.wtopnews.com/ ) apparently censors "comments". I tried several times to relay experiences attempting to illicit "law enforcement" to address harassment, vandalism and threats - these posts never appeared. Two posts did, going to the WTOP site and look for "jowey styxx" to see the two posts that made it. What is WTOP trying to accomplish with this "content censorship" ? I look at other posts and note that some of those posts are "rants" that lack credibility - yet ...?

If WTOP is not the source of this censorship then who is ?
Just why does "Main Stream Media" censor the news ? Note the state of affairs as a result of "censorship".....

Have fun folks, censorship shows more about the censor than the censored......

WTOP Censorship

I see that WTOP censorship of credible content is alive and well.

I ran some tests on your "posting" to the comments on this article ( http://www.wtopnews.com/index.php... ), I kept the content clean and described one of our experiences. This I did two times, the "comments" never showed up, I then tried a shorter inane "comment" it appeared, I then retried the longer one did not appear, then I tried one of similar length but different content and it appeared also.

It appears that you censor posts that have controversial content through a filter or an avid censor that makes them "disappear". This is not a big deal for me, we survived our experiences. This type of censorship "defines" what WTOP is, what type of society that we are living in and explains why this society is in the condition it is in. By preventing experiences from being documented, publicized and covering up abuses the fourth estate demonstrates that it is part of the problem. By the content being filtered WTOP is protecting a variety of abuses and supporting patterns of avoidance. In our case it is a town that covers up a police assault, a State Bar that makes claims of diligent members but cannot identify the "bad apples". As a result of this cover up things do not improve, they degrade and WTOP censorship is a contributing factor.

I am curious though are you the source of this filtering or just a puppet ?

This avoidance and censorship is rather amusing, we survived our experiences, barely since my girlfriend had a breakdown - history for us. I do not care that "presumption of innocence", "due process" have been flushed, that it is being covered up defines those that are implementing these policies - the press - WTOP, the town, the state and the country.

How much did you cover up ?
How many people like me pointed out events, bad practices and were ignored - dismissed, discarded ?

I cannot help but wonder where we would be at this time if the fourth estate had done its job, the war, criminal politicians and our economy in disarray - to this I say good job, keep up the censorship, keep the "bad apples" undiscovered, I wonder what other crisis is looming in the shadows ? Just to maintain status quo, maybe I will add this to http://www.change.org/ .......
