Yes? Who are you referring to? Today, I received a phone call from a payphone. The man on the other end had an accent. He said he was calling from "Windows," and my computer was full of viruses. He said all I needed to do was to go to the computer and follow along with his instructions, and "Windows" would fix the problem. Crazy! Has this happened to anyone else who reads this post? I'm curious about it, because I know it must not have been a legitimate call.

I got one of those calls two weeks ago. I hung up on them. Windows will not be calling you. These people can gain access to your computer if you give them the right information. They get all personal information like your SS#, tax returns, etc. Report calls to the attorney general.

Thanks, FYI! I think I will call and give them the number they called from. It could possibly help to track them down. If they've called one person from that number, they may well call more from it.

Direct TV is out sourced to India. The Operators there do scam when it's convenient so they aren't allowed to accept money or CC information. If you make a purchase you are sent to the collection dept in Korea or Maumbi, India which is a different Outsource company. They will call you back to confirm if it is actually Direct TV. The Coupons they are trying to sell you are Free coupons from http://coupons.target.com/ or any other Google searched Printable coupon sites. There are tons of them don't pay for coupons ever they are free.

i don't even answer those calls or any calls i don't know even if its from a local number if i don't know them i don't answer that's the best way to avoid them, if it is someone you know calling from a different phone nine out of ten times they will leave a message
