All you concerned people on here BLASTING these facilities about "facts" because you "have seen it with your own eyes", are no better than the ones you are BLASTING on here unless you have done the right thing by our elders and the disabled by reporting your "facts" to the Ombudsman by calling 1-800-834-0598.

Yes I have thank you. The question was posed on this forum regarding personal experiences with local nursing home facilities. What better way to know what the communities perception of the quality of work at these facilities than to ask the community or the "customer". With no formal feedback each community must rely on friends, neighbors and yes community opinion about any business, yes even if its a nursing home. Community perception of quality and customer service is very important. Good experiences was also part of the original question and I'm sure those statements would be more than welcomed on here as well.

I work at the home on 3 mile curve for almost 15 year . I do agree there is and will be smells there for the residence is same a a lil chil some more so as a baby they do piss and shit on there self . so the only way you can help that\oder is to keep them clean dont let them lay around in it.. and dont use sprays to clear the oder as my boss aid back then clean it clean the source of the smell what is causing it. the order will go away. and keep the dirty clotheing out of the room and closet they have a laundry room and them girls are wonderful with there job. and house keeping in cleaning are great. for they work hard I have watched them tare beds apart cleaning and all.
and as someone said on here. vist at different tiems differrnt hours and often real often
that mother or father took care of you so take care of them dont put them in there and forget where they are. Because I know its not all they like to make it out to be . So visit that mom or dad ..
for when the cats gone the mouse will play.

I work at 3 mile and know that the residence get excellent care. They are always well taken care of by us on the floor. I know there could be no better care given anywhere. But I like the Mr. Romeo remark, I'm glad glad that player is gone is gone!

9 outta 10 times the good workers will leave because they end up working longer hours. My grandpa had a good nurse she went else where. The drama runs from the office workers into the kitchen. They love to talk an tattle about each other. Reality shows ain't got nothing on them. If you gotta use it go visit often an at different times an have others do the same. Popping in a different times can give you a whole view. good luck

If you want the best care for your family try some place else. Those people are rude and act like its a bother to help anyone. We were there to see about having granny stay there but they were too interested in getting us out the door to help with questions about services, cost, billing and our finances. The 2 we talked to were too interested in getting me out of their office so they could continue their flirting to be of any assistance so we left very unsatisfied. We went to Logan Park and granny has been there ever since. This was about a year ago so it might be better but we diffinetely were not welcomed at all.

I completely agree with you. They are very little help and most of the time nobody know what is going on. Cant wait for Mom to be able to come home!!!!

I totally agree ever now and then like real early of the morning you may walk into a nursing home and it may smell pts has been changed from ngt. BUT!!! During the day and ngt this is uncalled for and I have walked in 3mile curve and the park and it has smelled like Pee right when you entered the door. Don't tell me this has to be like this. I have went in other nursing homes and NOT every nursing home is like this. Undoubtly, pts are lying there in this stuff or it is lying in their rooms making the place smell. I do know what I am talking about. It has to be cleaned from the pts and removed from their rooms plus sprays, and the place has to be cleaned good by. I know from what I seen at 3mi curve it did look dark and not so clean. I was just really turned off by the pee smell and so was I at the Park. I do know all these places are short on help and their workers do work very hard.

It's a pathetic place. They do not know what their doing and they can't even get the medicaid stuff right or the assistance needed for my pappy. If this is their job then they need to learn it!

So true, Hospitals have patients that have accidents, but doesn't smell as bad as 3mile curve nursing home just about anytime you go in there, especially of the evening.

Ok people. This thread is not for discussion of personal information. No more names or inferences of people who work there or anyone else.

If you want to give your opinion of the nursing home do so without identifying any of the people that work there.

Surprised that place is still open..it is a DUMP..some have no other choice and must put their loved ones there..Whoever is in charge is not doing their job..to busy gossiping and socolizing with the help. Also to many family members to keep things stirred up..Some of the RNS are excellent,,the kitchen help are the ones that want to keep the drama going..They want to talk about every man that walks into that place. Wish my grandma was not there. She would be much happier someplace else so i keep looking.

Patients are going to have accidents and they need to be cleaned. You might get one patien cleaned then have 3 more that need clean. Sometimes it is a never ending cycle..the soiled garments must be removed from the room to get the smell out..They are really understaffed and work long hours away from their own families..
