A new church, events planned in upcoming months talk of it less than 2 weeks ago then not even showing up to church to explain the reason he was leaving or to reschedule or let people know things were changing..even his own family members not being there something else happened i say i do not think he left of his own will i smell a troublemaker working in the midst. Thanks be to God at judgment day everyone will pay for the wrong things they helped bring about. In the end truths will come out. This is how a church goes about splitting apart !

Thanx for clearing that up I know only God can judge everyone who reads the Bible does in fact know that as well as on Judgment Day ever person will answer for every single thing we do or say!I'm not exactly certain what the real need for the new church was except i guess it being a growth of church members thing and crowding .The church services were split in 2 services to accomodate members attendance.I agree the Rock church was fine the way the services were split so, the other church woulda worked too.I think the main problem was the lack of adequate locations for the different classes but i'm not sure.

There has been nothing but problems since he has been there. It has just escalated. He won't take responsiblilty for his actions and childish behavior. MSFBC will stick together and will build this church if it is in God's Will. We actually wish the best for him and his family.

Mammoth Spring Baptist chruch has way to many hypocritics in it. I use to go there, but when you see people who look down on you for doing something then turn around and do something worse , but they go to church everytime the doors open so it is ok. God will judge them someday. As for the preacher his way of thinking was not for all those old hypocritics and he was smart to leave.....

All can say is last year my son, who was 9 years old, attended the Bible Vacation summer program and I was a little awestruck when I got the news the preacher was planning on baptizing him the last day of camp ! I knew nothing of this until the Friday before ! They hadn't even talked to his parents.

I found that a little bit disturbing 'specially in light of the fact that he had alreadt been baptized in another church at the age of 3 months.

The last thing I want to do is church bash here, but I am just relating what actually happened. I found it rather odd that a preacher would do such a thing without consulting the parents.

Needless ta say the next day HELL broke out in that church.

That said, I think that church does alot for the town and the youth ... but I felt this was a tad out of line.

He left on his own accord. There were going to have to be changes. He had a very arrogant attitude and wasn't a good pastor.

I attended there a long time and in my opinion he was a very good pastor..the thing is he preached the truth something not many real Christians want to hear.Often, when members get their toes stepped on they try to however they can force the preacher to leave.Truth is there are many there who want to try to run the whole show... more or less control the whole church and anyone with a brain and good Christian morals according to the Bible knows there are NO churches that can be run that way.Scriptures from the Bible clearly state the responsibilities of the pastor as well as deacons and elders they need to read for themselves those and apply them according to God's instructions not mans. The Bible you cannot add to or take away from when that is done then you face God's judgment the all knowing all seeing God , whom at judgment day you cannot deny anything one has done he knows everything already.

He could preach the word, he didn't live it. He wanted to run the church HIS WASY. He was not ran off he chose to leave on his own accord. He didn;t want to change his ways. he lied about some things, and ran several good members off from the church. Didn't show up to preach when he was supposed to insulted members, the school & the town from the pulpit. It didn't feel like a church there, that is why i left.

If you have been there for a long time, then you should know the truth. I haven't been there for awile, and I know more about it than you do. I still have friends there. I suggest you should talk to other people there and get properly informed.

You say you haven't been there for a long time, but you still have friends there. Personally, I would not want friends like that. I have been attending for over 20 years. He could care less about the congregation, deacons, people of the town, school, police officials and anybody who had anything to do with him. He thought he was the best of all, but his main downfall was the word "I". I have never ever heard a pastor use the word "I" as much as Brother Jimmy did. He lied. He manipulized the situation. If he didn't have total control, he went into a like childlike behavior. I was there from the beginning to the end of Brother Jimmy's stay. HE LEFT ON HIS OWN. Nobody forced him to leave and I hope him the best in his future endeavors.

Amen brother (or sister) you spoke the truth. My friends are the ones who wanted him to change or leave. He chose to leave. At least that is the decent thing he could have done for the church.
