Hi, My name is Gale and I am a friend of Shaleen Duckey. I went to school and graduated with her. She was a great friend and I miss her dearly.
We went to a boarding school so all the kids that went there came from all over the US including Alaska. We became real good friends and after graduation we stayed in contact for a few years, but then life just got in the way and we lost contact. With my many moves I lost her number and address and I recently have been looking for her and came across a post from "Letsbeconcerned" and I learned the fate of my friend. I am so sadden by her death and I can not believe she would take her own life. In school we talked about suicide and she told me once that no matter how hard life got she couldnt ever take her own life as she was scared of what would happen to her soul after and that she has a great respect for the lord and would never commit the "ultimate sin". During that same conversation she told me 'if I ever end up dead and they say I killed myself.... dont EVER believe that because I didnt and I wouldnt, someone killed me. Remeber this okay' and that is almost word for word.
Thank you for posting what you know about my friend and in no way do I except that she took her own life.
RIP my friend Shaleen Duckey... you are missed and loved. May your soul be in peace and the truth be told.

How sad that is for you.I am so sorry. How ironic that you had that conversation. I have had conversations like that too. And we all believe she didn't take her own life either. That is a corrupt place up there. I hope someone gets to the bottom of her and Renee Fox.

Why does the Bishop P.D. have to harass the Native Americans? After Shaleen's body was found the Police and the Investigators took so long to give information and the wrong information to Shaleen's family and everyone that knows Shaleen. It shows clearly that Shaleen was murderd, not suicide. The newspapers said that Shaleen has been laying in a field for two weeks in the summer heat when she was reported missing two monthes earlier. The body was starting to decompose and becoming unable to identify. Shaleen had cuts on her wrist and cuts on her face. The day of her discovery a couple of people went for a walk on south Barlow lane and up towards Sunland Cemetary when there dogs started to go crazy before they discovered to body. Alot of people go walking on that road everyday, to early morning to late afternoon and theres no way a body could be laying in a field for two weeks in plain sight when nobody don't notice it. Come on B.P.D. She was murdered!!! The killer is still out here, she's still here.
Where Duckey's body was found is not BPD's jurisdiction. This wasnt even BPD's case. Get your facts and agencies straight before you start whining. Really people....you guys are clueless.

So a potential murder happens in Bishop and the BPD isn't the agency that would be involved in any way? Guess that explains alot.

My mother in law has gone missing in La Paz. It appears you have been through this experience. Please share any ideas you have with us at [email protected] if possible. Thank you.

This one is ridiculous, it screams "murder" but as always, suicide is suspected. That is not to say it can't be suicide, but I think it's ridiculous how quickly homicide is discounted.
"The autopsy of a man who had been“burned beyond recognition” revealed that he died of a gunshot wound to the mouth.
On May 29th, staff at Death Valley National Park found the badly burned remains of a man in a wash about three miles north of the Wildrose Campground, about a half mile from where an unoccupied rental vehicle had been found on May 22. Inyo Detective Jeff Hollowell described the remains as “burned beyond recognition.”wildrose_campgrou nd
Deputy Inyo Coroner Jeff Mullenhour has positively identified the body as that of 64-year-old Alexander Wong from Orange County. The cause of death was found to be a gunshot wound to the mouth. Whether this is a murder or suicide was not determined by the Coroner, who says that he made no determination as to mode or manner of death with the burned body.
The door remains open for investigators to find this death to be a homicide, but when we spoke to Death Valley National Park Spokesman Terry Baldino, he reported that the death may be a suicide and the burning an accident. Baldino says that it appeared the man was wrapped in a blanket with lit candles around him, possibly like a ceremony of sorts. If the man did indeed shoot himself, he could have rolled into contact with the candles."
There sure seem to be a lot of deaths in Inyo County. On top of that, there sure seem to be a lot of deaths by anything else but homicide, when in each case, only homicide makes sense. LE is inept here. Time after time, body after body, there is some kind of eff up and their ruling ignores much of the circumstances and evidence. It's crazy.

Hi Cabojenn. I still think about Renee, so many years later. I still get "feelings" she was murdered and everything LE told you guys was a cover up. Funny how the same officials are named in each investigation that all ends up the same damn way.

When the Sheriffs and Coroner said she died of a lethal overdose and then said that she took it orally they made a mistake. That is the slowest method, so then they had to say something to back that up, so now there were several empty satchels and one with drugs.(they mention the one with drugs still in it, so that can prove that the empty ones had drugs in them that she ingested. First of all who would ever put all those drugs in their system especially in the heat, if the heat intensifies it. Has the family seen the empty satchels or the one with the drugs. If not I would want to. Who's to say there were really any. Just a thought. You cant be too sure, they have done alot of imaginary work already.

Thank you all but I am renees cousin and would like to know a casr number or sheriffs phone # to get my own answers.
