Not wanting to insert paranoia here, and there is no need to be defensive about this subject, but there are many people who have real questions about a phenomenon happening on contemporary commercial TV. It appears that Hollywood and Madison Ave advertisers believe they need to make sure every ethnic group on earth is represented on TV, billboards, and other media. However, they usually go way overboard in their approach. For example, not every ethnic group needs to be in ONE TV commercial! Unfortunately, they're so much involved in this all-inclusive presentation, that they usually ignore one particular group altogether! In fact, blonde blue-eyed people are significantly absent! If any "caucasians" (white) are included they must have dark features (hair, eyes, and even skin). The concern is that there seriously needs to be moderation, and perhaps some day there will be. My guess is that the Obama presidency has much to do with this recent trend and overreaction by Hollywood and Madison Ave!

Your right.I don't think every etncic group has to be shown on one tv commercal. and They could be a bit more fair in how white people are shown instead of how they do it.

And the hysteria continues...
Practically EVERY single TV commercial I've seen in one day has at least ONE black person, ONE Asian person - OR everybody in the place has dark eyes, dark hair, and/or dark skin! Its so transparent what Hollywood and Madison Avenue are doing.
They've slowly been eliminating caucasians from the face of TV, billboards, and other forms of media. They are conspicuously absent!

Advertisers are marketing to all of us. This only demonstrates the increased financial power of other than whites.

I'm in totally agreement with your comments above which indicate that America has changing demographics, and I also believe that as a capitalistic country advertisers should definitely market to the changes. Its excellent business.
My concern is that way too many advertisers are not keeping the marketing as equal as it could be for all the demographics - in all industries, and in all media. The reality is that "whites" still live in America, and they still have major purchasing power - and it is also extremely good business to continue to include all of America's consumers!

Where exactly is the inequality against white people in the media?

It's all being black and hip-hop now a days. There are more black people on TV than anything else. Even the politicians are taking onto the hip-hop, gangsta look. I'm wiating for barry to pop out doing the gangsta walk like serena or whatever her name is.

The unevenness continues...
Just about EVERY TV commercial continues to highlight and present at least one Asian or one Black... or both...
OR... just about EVERY person has dark hair, dark eyes, dark features...
Blondes are slowly but surely disappearing from participation, or they're relegated to unimportant, silly roles.
Shame on Hollywood and Madison Avenue for their obvious reverse-discrimination.

Hahahha loook at what big companies are pushing ... Diversity of thought .. Gotta give everyone a voice and then they show a picture of a black person, an asian person, a. Hispanic, a woman and a white boss. Hahahhaha. This is ridiculous. Let people earn what they will earn. We promote based on race, did you now that? Gender? Gotta have at least this many women leaders. GLBT is coming shortly. What ever happened to performance. We have gotten wimpy.

No one can't beat the market. Maybe you and i don't like it. Invisible power from pushing power of supply and demand rule us.
