I am sad as an american that our company was purchased by a foreign company. again the profits of the largest independent Office supply and service compnay is going off shore. No one asked me as a long time employee if this was ok. It seems thats what CEO and CFO's do they make there pockets bigger and move on. So let the parties continue and in the future there will be office mergers and jobs lost as the consolidation begins maybe not this year but in the near future for sure. Also a long time Partner of IKON Canon will loose big with the loss of 50% of there business in the USA im sure this will affect again many Jobs
Was this really a good thing?
Only if you are a CEO or CFo of IKON

I am not sure of the future of Ikon. I am a Ricoh tech for Ikon and for now it is status quo. Ikon has beat Ricoh on a lot of major accounts here from just a service standpoint. If there is an incorperation of the Ricoh techs with the Ikon Techs, I fear the standard of Ikon's service excellence will suffer.
