Before I say anything, I want to clarify that originally, I wasn't an Obama boy. I'm a Hillary Clinton boy. I'm not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat. I'm neutral, though I tend to look at things from a more liberal perspective. Nevertheless, I'm very happy to see that Obama's the President of the United States. I felt that his victory over McCain was very motivational to the minorities of this country. However, there are a lot of things that this administration has done that I don't agree with, and it sickens me to see people turn everything into a racial dispute whenever someone else disagrees with something that the Obama administration does.

We live in America. America is a democracy. As a citizen, I'm entitled to expressing my opinion whenever I want. Just because he's our first African American President doesn't mean that he won't be made subject to criticism. All politicians are, so you're going to have to get used to it. Not everyone is going to agree with his policies, so get used to that too. I'm all for equality, however, I've noticed that equality is defined differently by different people. To some, equality is fair treatment of all people. That's my definition of equality. I know of other people that consider giving the racial minorities extra privileges equality, and it isn't. We're all the same. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, brown, or any other color. It doesn't matter where you're from. We're all the same and should all have the same rights. Don't make everything a racial dispute. That's the attitude that gives so much power to racism, discrimination, and stereotypical behaviors.

I'm really sorry about that long post because it really has nothing to do with this thread, but I saw some of the replies and felt the need to respond. I think it's pretty ridiculous that our state is the only state in the entire country without a budget. It's something that I can't even begin to fathom.
