The parents, families and friends of students that are being FORCED to attend Malvern School District should stop shopping Malvern. It is not that far to surrounding cities that offer much more that Malvern offers. The Malvern business owners and officials can then blame Brian Golden and the school board members for Malvern going down the toilet. I have 9 grandchildren and I will pay for them to go to a private school before I will ever allow MONEY HUNGRY heathens to force me to put them someplace I feel is unsafe and undereducated. I believe we have fought wars because of dictatorship. Is that not what we have in Malvern.

There are board members on the Malvern School Board that are willing to see their Alma Mater (Magnet Cove School District) shut down. All for the almighty dollar. I'm not going to write a large thesis but I will state a few facts:
Malvern's school boundary line is within a mile or less of the Magnet Cove School District.
Magnet Cove students travel 10 miles or more to Malvern School Dist.
Money is the issue. NOT the student.
If you have to jeopardize your character and integrity to hold a Superintendent's Job, your character and integrity was questionable prior to accepting that position.
Mark my words: THE BOUNDARIES ARE BEING LOOKED AT AND THEY WILL BE CHANGED! Unfortunately, we must endure until that time.
Let's all be better than our money hungry neighbor's and sit back and watch them self destruct. I promise it will happen!

I belive it is Wrong for malvern to take up so many counties . Any way i have a relative tht is attending Ouachita and i belive it is a much greater school than Malvern any day if Ouachita had more than the 400 kids it has that it would be one of the best schools of the state

Hey folks!!!! did you read Brian Goldens article i n the paper lately, that rumor has it that malvern passed their benchmark test. well rumor has it that malvern is sending out letters to their students, that 2007 AND 2008, guess what they didn't pass.aaaaaahhhhhhhhh, because of the sub population, WHAT I thought all the tutoring, and free food they handed out was suppose to help that. BUT!!!!!!!!!! our kids have to keep going to malvern school district. no matter what. that is so wrong. let my kids go where we want them to go, why do we {PARENTS] not have a choice. WHY!!!!!

You are right grandma from Malvern. I have a letter in my possession that Brian Golden sent to parents at Malvern Junior High school that states that Malvern failed to pass the bench mark test in 2007-2008 and again in 2008-2009. and guess what he blames it on the African American students and the students that are economically disadvantaged. I know some very smart African Americans and I also know some very smart poor people and if I was singled out and blamed for Malvern Public School system not meeting state standards I would be highly offended. I think he made the parents against school choices case though. The parents have been saying all along it is not about race it is the fact that the Malvern Public School system is performing below standards as proved by the bench mark test again this year. The surrounding school districts are out performing Malvern in every aspect of education. That is one of the reasons the parents want the choice to put their children in a school that they can achieve their highest goals and be safe doing so. Malvern school and the officials that are allowing the schools to bully the surrounding schools should be held accountable for their actions. The citizens from Malvern should shop else where and let Brian Golden and his cronies know they are the reason the city of Malvern is turning into a ghost town.
Let parents choose what is best for their families.

It's just as hard to get your kids out of an 80% white school to go to a 90% white school, i was denied to transfer to magnet cove because my kids are white, i was told that flat out...but was told they could go to malvern because that school is 90% black..i was just trying to get into a smaller school so my kids could get more one on one teaching....oh well

Do we not understand that we are not suppose to make any changes in our lives for the better. We have to have Malvern school district to tell us what is best for our children and ourselves. Their answer for everything is if you don't like it move, well trying to stay where we bought in the first place is out because the economy is way off, houses are not selling, If I could I would move because Malvern is not growing, look around the other cities are growing. business's are building, plants are there. BUT we have a river park, so let's shop malvern ha. the school is one reason it is not growing. does not take a rocket scientest to figure that one out. but lets play the game, and give in to Malvern, or We could vote alllllll of them out and vote some one in thatdoes care about our city and our schools. that means the people.

Amber please don't stop trying. There is a law suit against Malvern. It is not fair that because our children are white they do not have the same rights a minority students. If we do not stand up for our rights now, One day it will be too late. Who has the right to tell you you cannot raise your kids the way you see fit."

This is not a race issue this is an education issue. Both of my children graduated from this sorry excuse of a school with minimal education. Now my grandson attends this farce as a 5th grader he can't read right nor do any math but he keeps being passed to the next grade.
You can bet that this child has never passed a Benchmark test but his "teacher" has for him. The whole system is nothing but a keeping my friends and family in a job whether they can or will do the job or not
